"Now please listen Mister Cha, you're about to enter a very hazardous area, I highly suggest that you do not touch any systems and please do not get too physically and/or emotionally close to these creatures, we still don't know what they're capable of other than killing innocent civilians."

Hakyeon listened intently to the professor and his instructions, following behind him. The professor types in a certain code that leads to a room filled with them.

Vampires.

"You may study freely, these are our most powerful ones," he informed.

"You mean, there are more more?"

The professor scoffed, leaning into Hakyeon's ear.

"That middle one there," he pointed to a blonde-haired, pale man, sitting cross-legged, seemingly calmer than the others who were banging on the glass that encages them, but quickly retracted his hand, "be careful with that one," is all he says before leaving him with a pat on the back, leaving Hakyeon confused.

He approached the first cage with caution, examining the way the vampires acted.

"Savages," he thought.

"Hello," Hakyeon jumped at the voice behind him and quickly turned around.

"Oh! I'm so sorry! Did I scare you? I'm sorry!" the small girl bowed deeply several times and Hakyeon sighed in relief.

"You must be Misterrrr—uh—Cha?" the girl asked and Hakyeon nodded.

"Hello Mister Cha, my name is Kang Kyungwon," she sticks out her hand for him to shake and he took it with a small smile and bow.

The girl was very young, had to be a teen and was probably a volunteer. She had short brown hair and, if his assumption that she is a teen is right, tall for her age. He wondered why she would volunteer at a place like this.

"I'm here to feed the vampires with you." she says with a polite smile and Hakyeon nods.

Kyungwon gives each vampire a blood packet individually, flinching whenever one is close to clawing at her hand or when they snarl at her. Hakyeon takes notes on the behavior of the vampires, how their eyes seem brighter when feeding, how messy they are when feeding, and how overwhelmed they feel after, as if they haven't eaten in years.

Next was the quiet one, the one who was all alone, encaged in a clear box, different from the others. He sat in a far corner, cross-legged and eyes closed. When Kyungwon wheeled her cart of blood packets near his box, his eyes opened and that's when Hakyeon saw it. He never saw this in textbooks, he's never even heard of it before.

His eyes were a bright, shining blue, eerie, yet so captivating. With fascinated eyes, Hakyeon started a clean blank page of notes for this one vampire.

He stood up gracefully and in a blink of an eye, his hands were pushed against the glass, making a loud "bang" sound. Kyungwon jumped back and Hakyeon flinched. The vampire stared at the blood packet with an emotionless face, no sign of hunger or mischief.

"He does this every time," mumbles Kyungwon, hesitantly sliding the blood packet throught the slot of the box.

He moved in a blur, grabbing the blood packet and returning to his corner where he feeds.

The packet was sucked dry. Hakyeon took note on how clean he ate, not spilling one drop of blood like other vampires. He also put the other empty blood packets in a neat pile. After Hakyeon took note on that detail he looked at him as if he was forced to. That's when he spoke

"Can you take out these empty blood packets?"
