Chap 1: A new life at the Academy

Finally I'm here, Underverse Academy, a school with an excellent academic that I always wished to attend in when I'm just a kid, I'm so happy that it's finally came true after all the hard works I putted in and also excited for my new life at this academy, this is gonna be awesome! I just can't, I just can't hold back this excited feeling. Right now I am walking down the hall way to find the headmaster's office, this place is so huge! I just wanna go explore first but I heard that the headmaster of this school doesn't like to wait so I look back at the map and keep moving. Jeez! This map is confusing me, no matter how much I turn it and read, it doesn't make any senses, guess I have to ask someone. Just then I saw a person(?), I can't tell because of the big hood covers his face with a red scarf wraps around his neck, did I mentioned that he is reading? I slowly walk closer to him
"Umm, excuse me? Do you know where's the headmaster office is"?- the person turns out to be a skeleton, turns his attention away from a book
"Oh yes I do, are you new here?"- he looks down at me. OMG, he is so cute and handsome, too, I can't stop staring at him though, I can also feel my face heating up
"Uh... Are you alright?"- I heard he asks
"Oh, yes! I'm ok!"- I said, smile nervously
"Ok then..."- he said, "Mind if I take you to the headmaster?"
"Oh yes please, thank you so much!"- my face brightened
"Haha, no need. Please follow me"- he said as he started walking, I go after him, we walk with each other in silent until
"Ah, how rude of me"- he turns at me making me jump " My name is Goth, I'm in a helper group that help newbies like you in Academy to get you a good head start so if you need anything, just come to my office at B-16, ok? I'll show you my office after if I still have time, anyway, what's your name?"- I look at him, stutter for a moment
"N-name is Palette..."- I finally said, happy about the fact I'm gonna see his room and talk with him more in the future
"What a cute name you have there, it really explain your appearance a lot"- he said, this making me blush more
"He... he thinks I'm cute?!"- I can feel myself screaming inside right now
"You face keep on fluster, are you having a fever?"- he asks, come closer to me
"Hu....huh?! What is he going to do?!"- I panicked
"May I?"- he asks, I nod without having any idea what's he gonna do until he leans down and presses his forehead against mine. Oh god! I'm gonna die if he keep on close to me like this, I see some of students are looking at us, I heard some fan girls screaming, too. It feel so nice but also very awkward
"G-G-Goth?"- I call out for him
"Hmm, that weird..."- he finally let go, I feel sad a little,"You seem fine..."- he seems to have some concern in his eye sockets
"Oh no! I'm fine really, no-no need to worry about that!- I said
"Are you sure?"- he asks
"Y-yes, I am, heheh"- I said
"Well, then, oh, we almost there, this way to the headmaster office!"- he said as he turns left and again I just follow him, we take a few more steps and then we stop at a huge and fancy door. While I standing there, feeling impressed, Goth is already knocks on the door
"Who's there?"- a deep voice from the other side responses
"It's me, Goth and I'm here with a new student"- Goth answers
"Alright, then. Please come in"- with the permission, Goth pushes the door open
"After you"- he said, smile gently
"T-thank you.."- I said as I walk in. My Star! Everything in this school is so so beautiful!
"Palette Roller. Am I right?"- I hear the "headmaster"asks, I turn my attention back to him and wait! There's a dog on the table wearing a tie, sitting beside the "headmaster" with a name board, Mr. Toby. Hmmmm.... Ok? I nod and answer
"Y-yes, that's my name"- Jezz! Why am I keep stuttering?
"Ok, then. My name is Andrew ( I just put in the random name), the headmaster's manager or Mr, Toby over here"- Mr. Andrew said as he introduces the headmaster. I slightly bow to him
"Woof, woof! (Mr. Andrew! May you get to the main problem?)- I heard the headmaster said
"Yes, Mr.Toby"- Mr. Andrew clears his throat, " Welcome to the Underverse Academy, Mr. Roller, here, take this, please!"-he said as he hands me a piece of paper, I take it, "Those are the rules and what you need to do to become success in this Academy during your study time over here, please read it carefully, sign it and turn it in tomorrow for me"- he said
"Yes, sir"- I said
"I'll keep the conversation short so I have one last thing to talk to you right now"- Mr. Andrew said
"What is it sir?"- I ask
"About SB"- Mr. Andrew said
"SB?"- I repeat after him
"It stands for Study Buddy"- he said, "During your time here, you will be pair with a student who have more experience than you to help you with your first step and more in the future", I nod. Oh wait! Speaking of that. What if I was being pair with Goth? Oh Stars, I will be in heaven, hearing his gentle voice when helping me with work and then sometimes we "accidentally" touch each other on the shoulder, etc... Ahhhhh~ My head gonna explode if I keep thinking more about it~ ( Chill out Palette! You and Goth just met >•<)
"Did you understand what I said about SB?"- I heard Mr. Andrew asks
"Oh, yes I do"- I said
"Good! Your Study Buddy will be determine this afternoon, so please come see me here again to meet your Study Buddy, ok?"- he asks
"Yes, sir"- I said
"Oh, one more thing!"- he said, "We will get you your uniform, too. So please don't miss this afternoon meeting, got it?", I nod
"Awesome! Now..."- Mr. Andrew said as he walks back to the table and pull out another piece of paper, "Schedule for Palette Roller... Where is it?"- he mumbles, "Ah! There we go. Wait!"- I see he looks at Goth
"Goth, don't you have classes at A-10, right?"- he asks
"Yes, I am. What's the matter Mr. Andrew?"- Goth asks
"Because Palette has the same classes like you, so can you take him there?"- Mr. Andrew asks as he gives me my schedule
"You don't need to ask, Mr. Andrew because my answer is always yes when it comes to help students like him"- Goth walks to my side, "Let's go, Palette!"- he said, "Please, excuse us"- we started to walk out the office, I take a look back at my schedule, Art, Math, History,... "Buddies choice"?! Hmm? What's that mean?
"Goth?"- I call out for him
"What is it Palette?"- Goth looks at me
"What does it mean by "Buddies choice"?"- Goth takes a look at my schedule for a while
"Oh, it just means that you and your Study Buddy do after school activity to gain points for both of you or sometimes just hang out or do something, etc..."- he said
"Ohhhh, Goth, do you have Study Buddy?"- I ask, let see if I have any chance
"I don't"- he answer. Sike!
"But I only have a potential one"- What!?
"What's their name?"- I ask, try to calm down
"His name is Spray Cray"-he said, "He is my best friend since my first year attend the academy"- he continued, "Both of us are just potential Study Buddy to each other, but if one day he have another one then I would be very worry for that person"- Goth said, a sigh escapes from his mouth
"Why?"- I ask
"Because he's very cold hearted, the way he talk and look will freaks you out. He's also very strict, a lot of previous roommates, also his roommate, getting sick of his rules or scared of him and even ask the headmaster to switch, but you know, I get used to him already, so even that I'm his friend, I'm still afraid"-he said, I nod, hoping that I don't have him as a Study Buddy or roommate and also impressed of how Goth can deal with him, "Oh, here we are!"- Goth said as he walk in the class, somehow I feel shy and stand back at the door
"Hi Goth!"- some of students wave at him, he smile waves back in response
"Who's over there? Come on in buddy!"- some of them spotted me
"Uhhhh..."- I still stand there. Goth slightly shakes his head, walks toward me and grabs my hand, sending electric over me.
"Come on, Palette, don't be shy!"- he gently pulls me out of my "hiding spot". Oh god, my face is heating up again!!! Ugh! This stupid face! Both of us stand in the middle of the class
"Guys, this is Palette, he's going be the new member of our class. Let's welcome him, everyone!"- Goth said
"HI PALETTE!"- I hear clapping and cheering from the class.
"Let's know more about each other, ok?"- some of them said, I nod and smile at them
"Alright, guys, I'm sure one day Palette will get well along with this class. Thank you everyone"- he smile, still holding my hand, "Let's go Palette, there's space on my seat, you can sit with me!"- he said
"Ok.."- I said, he takes me to his seat at the second row
"Here, on the left"- he said, I put my bag on the table and started to sit down, the table sets in this class are have each two tables join together to make a group of 4 people in the table
"Hi Pj!"- I hear from the other classmate, I look up to see a student with something floating on his head, maybe ink or air? I don't really know. He sits down at the opposite side of our table
"Hey Goth!"- Pj said
"Hi Pj"- Goth said, smile at him, "How was the basketball match?"- he asks
"Hmph, don't even mention it!"- he has a Tch mark on his forehead. Hmmm, he seems to be kinda cocky. But I think he's not gonna be too hard to talk with
"Are you ok?"- I ask
"What ok?"- he asks back, still with his stern voice
"Because I see you wear bandages at most of your legs. Are they ok?"- I ask, a little nervous
"Oh them? It's just accident during the match, there was an a**hole tried to push me to get his victory, you don't need to care that much but who are you anyway?"- he looks at me,"I mean your name, just tell me your name because by looking at your outfit, I can tell that you new here"
"My name is Palette and I guessing you are Pj, right?"- I ask
"Yeah, my full name is Paperjam but everyone call me Pj for short"- he said
"Oh my Pj, I never see you talking so nice to someone before"- Goth said
"Shut it!"- Pj hisses at him,"It just because I'm tired today, that's all!"- he said as lay his face on the table
"Don't worry about him, that's just his personality, he always like that, fresh and grumpy"- Goth said as he looks at me
"Shut it Goth!"- Pj said as he throws a book at Goth but it turn to aim at me, he quickly catches it before it hit me
"If you want to throw at me, at least get your face off the table to aim, you almost hit Palette"- Goth said
"...."- Pj silent for a while, still face down table,"Sorry Palette"- he said
"No, it's ok!"- I said
"*sigh* He should have keep this art book carefully instead of throwing it"- Goth said as he puts the book back beside Pj. And then I see a student run in
"Guys! Mr. Ink is coming! Go back to your seat!"- she said
The chatter die down as students started quickly back to their seat and shortly after that Mr. Ink walks in
"Good morning class, before we star our agenda today, I have two things to talk about. First, Goth, can you wake Pj up, please?"- Mr. Ink said, Goth pokes Pj forehead and he slowly waking up to some students are laughing at him
"And second thing, I heard that we have a new student today, right?"- I feel Mr. Ink's gaze on me, I quickly get up from my seat,"There you are! Palette Roller, correct?"- he smile at me
"Y-yes! N-nice to meet you!"- I said, stuttering again
"Nice to meet you, too. My name is Ink, I hope you will soon get along well in this class and study hard. Now please take a seat"- Mr. Ink said
I quickly sit down. Mr. Ink clears his throat
"Ok, class. Let's star our agenda today!"- Mr. Ink said
Today is free drawing, everyone draw in silence until the bell ring for the next period.
