I couldn't fall asleep like most nights.
So I walked over to my window.
I placed my hand over the glass immediately feeling the coldness under my palm.
I leaned back staring at the big wire fence that separate my warm home from the gigantic deserted warehouse where some teenagers have parties or as, Vanessa says there called "Raves".
What I didn't know is that this warehouse would actually become a big part of my life.
I suddenly heard laughing and running and fingers gliding against the fence.
I leaned up and looked out the window.
Three boys and two girls were running down the hill towards the abandoned building.
One boy was walking slowly, a cigarette loosely hanging from his lip as he squirmed his fingers into his pants pocket and pulled out a lighter.
His sparked a flame and lifted under the cigarette.
He then lifted it away and blew a cloud a smoke.
He looked out towards the field and then without me even being prepared he looked at me.
At me.
My breathing hitched.
Our eyes connected.
*PAST; 13 years old*
I gave my mom a side hug thanking her for Dinner and went upstairs.
For the next half hour me and my sister played cards and then my dad's voice echoed up into Gemma's room.
"LIGHTS OUT!" He screamed.
I groaned and fell back onto my sister's bed.
"Bye." she said plainly as she put the cards away.
"Whatever Gem." I said and left the room.
Gemma is my sister by the way.
I walked in my room shutting the door and sat on my bed.
I fell asleep for a little while, but woke up very much later, when it was completely dark.
I sat on my bench and looked out the window.
I saw many teenagers and It helped me fall asleep.
My eyelids got heavy and I dazed off.
*PAST; 9 years old*
I finished my home work and sat in between the best parents in the world.
"Up to bed you go!" My dad shouted as he swung me over his shoulder and ran up the stairs.
I was way too tired to fight and fell asleep right there.
I woke up in the middle of the night and sat in front of the window watching all the teenagers.
I just adored the boys.
They were all cute in my opinion.
I wished that when I got older I would be just like them.
Then I curled up on the bench threw a blanket over me and fell asleep.
*PRESENT*
He smirked at me his cigarette being pushed between his perfect plump pink lips.
I gulped down the nothingness in my mouth.
I was so nervous my mouth became entirely dry.
I jumped up threw on sweat pants and a white large sweatshirt.
I flipped my long lightish brown hair behind me and ran back towards my window.
I opened it and climbed into a part of the roof.
I slid down and jumped onto our umbrella over our outside table.
I slipped off of it and onto a chair.
I got off the chair and made my way over to the fence.
"Hey." I breathed out.
He puffed a long white cloud out of his mouth.
He stared at me, up and down.
Then we locked eyes again and I could feel my heart in my throat.
"Um." I said but I couldn't get another word out.
Why was I so nervous!?
