By this time school was out I really had no idea on why I was still rushed to bed other than if I had an appointment the next morning which indeed I did. It was the summer time my brother no longer stayed with us he had departed to go live with his father. Boy any place was better than that house so I know for a fact he was happy. No more limit to foods in the house or cutting the TV off on the weekends at 7 and no more watching her get drunk daily. Well for me I had no place to go my dad was in jail and well so was my mom. I got tired of staying with my grandmother but that wasn't enough for her to let me leave because at that age kids had no say so. We was always to be seen and not heard. Grandma decided to leave the little trailer and find a place in West Memphis. We ended up in a connected house with someone living in the other part right in front of us. Things were pretty nice living here. I was close to my other family members and a church which I would often visit. So my typical grandma one day sent me off and she of course wanted the house alone to get drunk. Me being the bad child I was when I got home I would call the police and then say shit and hang up. I never got caught until this one day I must have mistaked her sober chillness for drunk and called. They arrived within five minutes top. Thwy knocked at the door and I ran to the bathroom and peepd out the window. Grandma called my name and soon did. She asked if I had called the police and I stated back "must've been by mistake". That was the day she decided she didn't want me anymore and the next morning I was almost sent off to a foster family I didn't know.
