The carriage stopped in the village as a James stepped out, walking over to the group of women who were locking up the clothing store. He was assigned by his friend Luke to get the girl he needed, only he would be trusted with the deed.

"Excuse me ladies." He said as they all turned to him, seeing his professional clothes they immediately prayed they weren't in trouble.

"Yes?" One of the ladies spoke, James cleared his throat.

"I am looking for Annabelle Valentine." James spoke, no one knew who she was, except the lady in the back.

"Oh I can lead you to her house sir." She said and he nodded his thanks to her as she walked to the small house.

"Here it is." The woman said pointing to Anna's front door before bidding her goodbye to James. James ordered his guards to stand firmly behind him as he knocks on her door.

--

The guards knocked on the door as Anna looked curiously. She dropped her paint brush into the water before walking to her door.

She didn't look through the curtains, she just assumed it was Beth asking for sugar for her mother. Beth's mother often made sweet cakes and ordered Beth to get her more sugar, and the only place Bath wanted to go was Anna's.

She pulled open the door and saw a row of knights standing there with a young man in front of them.

"Hello Miss Valentine, I am James." The man introduced and Anna only nodded.

"H-Hello." She stuttered, she wished she didn't open the door.

"You have been ordered by Prince Brooks to be invited to the kingdom." James said handing her the document, her eyes skimmed over it as she gasped in disbelief.

"I-I" she said and James was ready for her to burst into tears of joy.

"I decline the offer." She said handing the paper back, James stood there shocked, never has any girl declined.

"Miss Valentine." A knight said, "You have been ordered to come to the kingdom.' Either you come nicely or I will order the guards to take you by force."  The knight next to James said. She shook her head, she knew she would have to go either way but she will not go without a fight.

the guards barged in her house and she ran to her art room. The guards were quick to follow. She grabbed some paint from her closet and squirted it on the guards and floor, causing many of them to fall. Anna was suddenly hopeful that she could get away with not going but she knew this is an unbeatable match. Either way, she's going.

She opened the window to her art room, and climbed out, picking up her dress on the way.  She ran out the back into the village. James and the knights that weren't harmed charged after her, she picked up a few pebbles on her way, throwing them at the knights.

"Stay away!" she shrieked, hoping to get someoneâs attention, but everyone's curtains were closed knowing people from the Kingdom are here. Usually Anna would be joining them, sighing in relief the girl wasn't her, but now it was her, and there was no one to help her.

While the knights ran after the surprisingly fast girl James had used his knowledge and ran to the right catching up to to the place Anna would turn, avoiding the forest. Once Anna zoomed past James hiding spot, he sprung and grabbed her. She screamed and kicked trying to get out of his grip. The knights by then, had caught up and held her down as well.

Anna grew weak and her screams turned into whimpers, James carried her in his arms back to the carriage. laying her down on the seat as he sat opposite of her.

What a night.
