Luhan's POV:
"...don't worry about Seohyun. I promise to protect you from her.. Under one condition."
"What is it?"
"Please..
Love me back."
A moment of silence enveloped us. I was dying to hear her answer and hoped it was a positive one. "Luhan-ah.. I--" Hana began. I tensed up and gulped. She took a few seconds too long to continue, so I started getting impatient. The suspense was killing me and I waited for her to say the disappointing words. "..am," she resumed, "naked." I gave her that wide-eyed look but also sighed in relief.
"Yah! You just ruined the moment!"
She laughed. "Mianhae. Well you know you just bribed me right? Shouldn't you protect your girlfriend regardless if she loves you back? Talk about selfishne--" I interrupted by gently attacking her lips with mine. Seconds later, she pushed me off and said, "Yah lemme at least change you pervert!" And ran off with her clothes.
When I thought she was gone, she popped her head back in the room and smiled, "Okay. I love you." A euphoric-adrenaline rush filled me fully. I was mentally screaming with excitement, but kept it cool on the outside.
A few minutes into waiting, Hana Jae was back in her pajamas and had a towel wrapped around her head. "Your eyes are still red," I pointed out sadly. She spent last weekend and the beginning of this week crying her eyes out. She got better each day, but she still managed to fit in an hour long sob session.
She chuckled lightly, "Yeah.." I smiled brightly, attempting to ease her.

Hana Jae's POV:
Luhan knew how to console me. He knew how to cheer me up. But he barely touched the surface in knowing the pain I was going through. Though I felt better, I was still in deep depression. Having him say that he'd protect me and asking me to love him--well, I couldn't say no. Yes, I did love him, but he didn't seem to understand the hardship passing through my life. I was on the verge of losing my only parent, I was judged by his family, I was getting harassed by someone I hadn't known for a day, and I constantly felt like a burden to him. With that being said, I had to put on a fake smile and go along with his happiness. I couldn't let him see me like that, especially after all the effort he put into comforting me. That'd just be inconsiderate.
...
The week went by in a breeze and I surprisingly survived. Although it was agonizingly difficult to avoid bitchy Seohyun, I managed to do so.. Kinda. Thankfully, Luhan always stepped up in needed times. I'd say I made a good deal with him.
Throughout the week, we hung out with the rest of the guys, enjoying each other's company and using every day as an opportunity to become closer friends. Sehun, in particular, talked to me more than before. It of course didn't mean anything, but I could feel that friendly connection between us. And I knew he was a crazed Seohyun fan, so I thought, "Hey maybe this kid can help me get her off my back."
On Saturday, Luhan took me on an 'almost-official-first-date-as-a-real-couple' to the original Sweet Heart Coffee Shop..
~flashback begin~
"Hana Jae-yah," Luhan called.
"Ye?"
"I'm bored. Let's do something."
"Ani, I have homework," I kindly protested.
"Do it later. Come on." Without my acceptance, Luhan grabbed my hand and bolted downstairs. I didn't bother resisting though; I secretly enjoyed it.
