Sunset

"Careful, don't fall in." He told me with a chuckle as he walked closely behind me. I laughed along with him and continued forward to our destination. "Shouldn't I be the one saying that to you? After all last time you did--" "OKAY, we don't need to bring that up again." He quickly interrupted me as I burst out laughing. "Yeah, yeah. C'mon we're almost there." I responded with a grin as I dragged him along. Eventually we reached our spot in the rocks, just close enough to the water for it to paint the tips of our toes. We sat so I was in between his legs and I could lean my head against his chest. The view was different this time though because this was our first time coming here at night. The sun had just started to set as we got comfortable. "Isn't this nice?" I asked as he ran his fingers through my hair gently. "Perfect," he replied in a calming tone. "Watch the sky, see how the sun disappears behind the ocean? I think that's so amazing because it's not actually going away it's just moving onto a new area. It's beautiful that we all share the same sun." He finished. I shifted my position slightly so I was able to look up at him. "I love you." I stated looking into his eyes. "I love you too you silly boy." He grinned and I laughed a little as he leaned his forehead against mine and in this moment everything was on pause.
