"Mate" he growls in return, the boy, Kevin. Leaves as the Alpha flickers his eyes to him.
I start to panic. No No No I can't have a mate he will only be put in danger! I cry out to my wolf. She whimpers in distress. Wanting to howl in praise but being suppressed. I must keep her hidden an appear human. Maybe he'll reject me if I'm human.. I think thoughtful a little sadness washing over me as my wolf whimpers.
He stands up behind his desk his eyes looking me up an down.
"What is your name?" He booms his voice is tender but deep. I shivered at it.
"The names June Smith" I smile casually pretending not to know anything about werewolf cultural.
"June Smith.." He tries it out on his tongue an you can see in his face he knows it doesn't sound right. But has no reason to question me.
"That's what I said?" I say sarcastically. His eyes look up at me a nice light caramel color an a flicker of amusement passes through them.
"But of a fiesty one aren't you June?" He chuckles softly folding his arms over his chest.
"Can I go now?" I needed to get away. I couldn't stay. I couldn't ruin his life.
A flicker of anger goes through him his body getting rigid. "Why would you want to do that? You only just got here?" He plays off.
"Well for starters my Grandfather is expecting me back for supper." I say smirking "But if I'd love to come back an visit another day." I lie. I wouldn't come back. But he saw through my facades.
"It's only three in the afternoon June Smith. What's for supper?" He smiles amused at his come back. Amused with the interity of this conversation.
"Oh the usual southern style supper, homemade buttermilk batter on chicken scallop potatoes an green beans." I said in reality I haven't eaten in four days. My last meal out of a dumpster. Trying to save my twenty dollars to afford another motel room. My stomach growled at the thought of the mouth watering food. I needed to eat soon.
"You came from town, an the land here is what I own Miss Smith." He smirks.
"Sorry for trespassing it was just so beautiful I had to take a look." I say curtly.
"How old are?" He says calmly.
"17" I say decievingly.
"Liar" he states.
"What's it to you, momma said never talk to strangers." I say glaring my wolf angth with me for being so rude to our mate.
"Yet here you are, on a strangers land, talking to him." He smirks. "How bout you tell me your age snowflake" my wolf cooes at the pet name.
"21" I grumble. I've said it so long I knew it sounded like the truth in his ears.
"That's what I thought" he smirked.
A knock on the disrupted us from our conversation an I was done with the get to know you formalities an little games around answers.
Still staring at me he replies to the visitor behind the door. "Yes Seth?"
A voice from behind the door responds, "Alpha from Black moon pack has arrived Alpha." Seth responds walking in an stopping staring at me stunned.
I don't know him, but recognition crosses his eyes an he knows me. Hopefully he doesn't know me. The real me. I've never told a soul. He's have to be one of two who I've shifted near on accident.
The Alpha looks at me still. "Take Miss June Smith to the room next to mine." He commands.
"Yes Alpha." He says submissevly, an in eagerness.
"I did not say I would stay!" I said in protest.
"You didn't have a choice." The Alpha smirked waving me off which angered me. While my wolf cried in joy that he wanted us.
"Miss Smith, if you would please follow me," Seth said opening the door smiling.
I glare daggers into the Alphas back. Knowing you can't change an Alphas decision I follow Seth reluctantly. He leads me into the trees an once more in front of another werewolf I pretend to stumble an labor my breath. I must act human to keep these people safe for now. I'd leave soon.
We enter a clearing were a larger cabin was made of the same kinda kinds of trees as the one I first one I went in. I thought they were beautiful but I didn't belong here.
Seth leads me inside an up a stair case to a room next to the Alphas sent. I walk in an Seth waits patiently with words on the tip of his tongue. I pretend not to notice. But he goes ahead an asks his question.
" Do I know you from somewhere?" He asks curiously he already knows the answer an also the one that will come from my mouth.
"No I don't believe we know each other sir," I say with a look of fake confusion on my face. His face contorts in a confused face.
"I'm sorry I thought I did, I'll leave you to it then. U I have a nice evening Miss Smith-" I interrupt him tired of the foramlities.
"Call me June," I say tenderly.
He smiles appreciative, "Ok, June" it sounds awkward now but he'll get used to it. He shuts the door an leaves.
I scan the room everything has a very rustic look which is definitely my style. The wooden rcoming chair is my favorite piece of the room. The soft white curtains near the oak wood pa ela are a nice touch along with the full sized bed which looks extremely comfortable.
Not the kind of beds I can afford in a motel I think to myself.
I notice two doors but I'm not in the mood to look, the bed is calling my name. I lock the door as I prefer to sleep in the nude.
I undress an lay beneath the soft white comforter. A cool feeling washing over my body as I relax in bed. I smile forgetting where I as I drift into a dream filled sleep.
A/N: So I update a lot. U I just get so excited or come up with ideas an plots I have to write an end up posting.
