A Different Childhood (James Potter is alive fic)

Alive?

"It's going to be ok," James reassured his three children and himself. He looked down at them in their cribs. His oldest child, Harry, sleeping blissfully unaware of everything that happened that night. Harry looked identical to him at his age but he had his mothers eyes.

Lily...

The pain was almost unbearable. His flower was dead. James shook his head from these morbid thoughts. His eyes traveled to his youngest children, who were twins, Lilliana and Alexander. Although Lilliana was a couple of hours old she had her mothers fiery red hair and brilliant emerald green eyes. Alexander looked like Harry but had his fathers hazel eyes.

Just an hour previously Voldemort had attacked his home and killed his wife and attempted to kill him and his children. The only reason James was alive was because Voldemort missed him with the green curse; it only scraped his arm sending flying onto the stairs. Making him look like he was dead. James found Lily on the door and he felt like his heart had ripped out. He was over the moon when he found out his babies were alive. Then he had fled to America in hopes to keep them safe; even it meant leaving behind the world he knew.

"Yes everything will be okay," he murmured stroking Harry's hair.

A/N

I hope this is okay! I know it's not very original but it has my twist on it like adding the twins and James fleeing to America letting people think that he is dead. I hope you like it!
