So, we've learned 10 letters up til now? Let's get into more juicy stuff (what?)
ㄱ:
ㄲ - 'kk'. More stress in the beginning.
ㅋ - 'k'. So, what's the difference? This is an 'aspirated letter'. Add a little air while saying this one.
[We, as English speakers have no right to complain, we have 'v' and 'w'. We also have 'g' and 'j' and 'c' and 'k'. Some have no stable pronunciations either. G could be j like in giant or g like in great. What's wrong with English?]
ㄷ:
ㄸ - 'tt'. Double consonant.More stress in the beginning.
ㅌ- 't'. "Aspirated Letter" again! [Add a little air while saying this one.]
ㅂ:
ㅃ - 'pp'.Double consonant.
ㅍ- 'ph'.This one is a strong letter.[It IS aspirated but doesn't need much air as the other ones!]
ㅅ:
ㅆ - 'ss'.Double consonant.
ㅈ :
ㅉ - 'jj'.Double consonant.
ㅊ - 'cha'. I think ㅈ becomes cha if you aspirate it. Try it.
