"You ready to head out to the beach?" Ryan asked as I was freshening up in the bathroom. I nodded.

"Yea. Can you hand me my baithing suit?"

"Yea ma." he said, walking out of the bathroom and towards the bed. He came back a few seconds later and handed me my black two piece bikini.

"Thanks babe." I smiled. He smiled back.

"No prob. Now hurry up." he told me, slapping my ass.

I smacked my teeth "Ugh!" I groaned and closed the door.

I slipped out of my clothes and put on my bikini. I think I bought it a size too small but I still looked good in it. I took my hair out of my ponytail and brushed it out, letting it flow down my back. I put on some mascara and red lipstick before spraying on some perfume and walking out of the bathroom.

I walked into the bedroom to see Ryan laying across the bed in nothing but his swimming trunks. I swear he knew exactly how to turn me on. Just seeing his tatted body made me wet.

"Ready?" I asked him. He sat up and looked me up and down licking his lips. I smiled.

"Yea. Damn you look fine as hell in that." he said biting his bottom lip.

"Thanks babe. Same to you."

He walked up to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me into him leaving no space between us. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed his lips. I could feel him getting aroused through this thin fabric so I pulled away. He groaned.

"We can do that later baby. I'm ready to sight see." I told him. He chuckled.

"Aight."

We walked out of the penthouse and took the elevator down to the hotel lobby.

"Hold on real quick." Ryan said as he walked to the front desk.

I sat down in one of the lobby chairs and looked around. There were a few people around down here but mostly outside is where you saw people walking around.

"Aight let's go ma." Ry said tapping my shoulder.

I got up and linked my hand in his as we walked out to the parking deck. I saw keys in Ryan's hand so I knew he had to have gotten a rental car. He clicked the key pad and a car in the third row ahead of us blinked and beeped. We walked towards it and the car was beautiful. It was a black lexus with creme' leather seats on the inside, and silver chrome custom wheels.

Ryan opened my door for me and I got in. He jogged to the other side and got in. He started the car and rolled the windows down. We pulled out of the parking deck and headed to the beach that was only five minutes away.

Ry parked the car and we got out. I admired the sights before me sliding on my sunglasses to shield my eyes. We had parked close to a pier and there were so many people out walking along the beach, kids playing and people sun bathing.

"You gonna come or you gonna stand here all day?" Ry chuckled. I hit him playfully.

"Shut up. I'm coming."

I walked next to him and he wrapped his arm behind my back, holding onto me as we walked. We walked down to the pier and took in the sights. The wind blew around us and the warm air made me not miss georgia weather at all.

"Want a funnel cake?" Ry asked looking at me. I smiled I hadn't had a funnel cake in years.

"Sure."

He picked the funnel cake with strawberries and added whipped cream on the top. We picked one of the tables outside the funnel shop and sat down. I picked up my fork and started digging in. Ry just sat there watching me eat. I could tell by his facial expression he had something on his mind that was bothering him.

"What's up?" I asked him putting my fork down. He pulled a piece of the funnel cake off and popped it in his mouth.

"Nothin." he smiled chewing.

I knew he was lying and I wasn't gonna let him just get by without telling me.

"No for real Ry. What's up? I know you. Something is bothering you." I told him looking straight into his eyes.

He rubbed his hand over his face and sighed. I took another bite of the funnel cake waiting intently on his explanation.

"I didn't just bring you out here to get away." he said. I frowned.

"What you mean?"

I didn't understand why he would be keeping things from me when we always told each other everything. It made me feel like he doesn't trust me.

"I had some people lookin for me in georgia. If I didn't leave when we did they would have tried to do some shit to you." he explained.

What? Did I really just hear correctly?

Why would they be after me unless they knew he stayed with me?

I immediately started to think up all the possible scenarios in my head. What could he have possibly done for people to be after his ass.

"What did you do Ryan?" I asked him.

"I kidnapped and murdered one of the guys girlfriend while she was pregnant. It was a part of a deal with one of the guys I work wit. I didn't know she was pregnant at the time. So now they want revenge."

I shook my head. I mean I knew he killed people but I didn't think he would go that far. Especially someone that was carrying a innocent life inside of them. But I guess that's what comes with the life he chose.

"So who is the guy that's looking for you?" I asked him.

"A guy named Devon. We use to be best friends until this happened." he said leaning back into his chair.

Devon... I remembered him from high school. Him and Ryan use to always be together. Literally attached to the hip.

"I remember him." I told him, looking out across the pier.

"Yea." he said lowly.

I looked at him and could tell this whole situation was hitting him hard but I wasn't gonna let him down. If he was gonna go through this I wouldn't let him go through it alone.

"Look at me Ry."

He looked up at me with tired eyes. I gave him a slight smile and held onto his hand.

"I know your worried about what could possibly happen to me but believe me when I say that I got this. So what if they come find you? We're natural born killers and we know what to do in situations like this right?" I asked him looking straight into his brown eyes.

He chuckled. "Yea your right. I just got caught up worrying about what could possibly happen to you. I just don't wanna think about ever losing you."

I smiled "You'll never lose me babe."

He nodded.

"Now lets go. I'm ready to feel the sand in my toes." I giggled. He laughed.

"Aight. Lets go."

We got up to walk down to the beach and all I could think about is keeping an eye out of our surroundings.

If Devon was smart enough he would have been found out where we were. But no one had yet to show up. All I know is, if he plans to show up he better be prepared. Nobody threatens to do shit to me without me doing anything about it.
