Kenya's pov
2 days to go before summer vacation ends. I woke up at 6 am even though my eyes feels like it's closing. I brushed my teeth and head to the kitchen to cook. Dad works as a detective so he rarely stays home and do work. Even if he is at home. He would stay for over 2 days.
"Good morning Onii! "I suddenly saw Ayano cooking some..... Eggs.
"What are you doing? "I asked her while leaning against the cupboard
"I'm cooking western Breakfast. Look there's Bacon, cabbage and mayonnaise, bread. I'm currently cooking eggs. "She smiled at me. Hahahahaha. Funny (-.-)
"That's not what I mean. Why are the Bacon burnt, cabbage in big pieces, mayonnaise everywhere, your toast is burnt and..... Your eggs.... "I said
"Whr are you talking about? It still taste good, look"she took a piece if the scrambled eggs and put it in her mouth.
"How does it taste? "I asked and she shakes her heads more than I need to know.
"You're so helpless without me"I said and quickly throw away the Bacon and eggs.
I asked Ayano to scrape off the burnt parts of the bread.
I leave the cabbage alone and so...
We had a peaceful time eating breakfast after that.
"I wonder why but Onii, you're good at cooking. How? "Ayano asked
"I don't know, maybe because I'm smarter "I said and she changed her face
"Pfft"I heard a small sound coming from her
"Hey"
"By the way, Onii, There's an old Japanese ramen shop. I wanted to go there though "
"Go for it. "I said while eating my cabbages
"Onii, come with me"she suddenly begged
"Why? "I asked but she just smile a little and looked away.
"Plea- "
"No"I cut her off and she went angry at me and pushed the table at me
"It's decided. You're coming with me if you like it or not "she decided it by herself. Geez this lady.
(6pm)At the evening. I was dragged by Ayano to the shop. I suddenly recognised a person there.
"Young boy! "She called me. It was the old lady I saved before Ayano's birthday.
"Grandma... How are you? "I asked and shakes hands with her
"Oh dear. I'm fine because of you"she smiled
"That's good to hear"I told her and went to the bar counter
"Well, I heard you hurt your arm. I'm so sorry"she said. I noded at her and gave her a little smile
"It's okay "I good her so that she would not be worried
"How about I make these food for you for free. Feel free to pick"she offered
"No, no it's okay. I'll pay"I declined her offer because I don't think it would be nice for her business .Turns out she is the owner of the shop though
"It's okay. I insist"she continued. I have no other choice but to respect her
"Is that so. Then thank you"I thanked her. I ordered normal ramen and Ayano took Udon.
"Nee ,Onii.. How did you meet her? "Ayano asked
"I don't know"I said while blowing the ramen's soup
"Answer me seriously! "She hit my right arm and my spoon fell
"Calm down. Your brother saved me"Grandma told Ayano. Well I just have to keep quiet
"Saved you? When? "Ayano stopped eating and pay attention at grandma
"Hmmm. I don't remember but I'm sure he broke his arm"Grandma said while holding her chin
"Oh !That day! He told me he fell and no other reasons! "She shouted
"I'm sure your brother is not trying to make you worry"she soothed Ayano. But it's kind if true.
"He doesn't have to. He's not cool anyway"she looks at me and pulled her tongue
"Don't say that. I find you brother very special. You sure are lucky"Grandma praised Mr as she told her story
"My brother is special? "Ayano looked at with her disgusted face.
(9pm)After we were done eating. We went back home. Ayano is still not convinced with Grandma's story so I let her talk by herself on our way back.
Two days later. School continued, Ayano is serious about falling in love again. So annoying....
"Onii!! Faster! Faster! Faster! Well be late!! "Ayano keep on jumping up and down
"I heard you"I said while pulling my tie as we exited the door.
I guess only Ayano likes school. I wonder if she even completed her homeworks.
As soon as we arrived. Ayano ran to her classroom while a girl approached me.
"Katayose kun, I like you! "She said how bold but it gave me shock
"Who are you? "I asked
"I'm Suda Asuka, 1st year. I fell in love with you since we first met. You were nice to me too"she introduced herself or she confessed again
"I'm sorry but I don't know you. "I said because I have short term memory. I always forget about things so let's leave it to that.
"You gave me minty sweet when I keep on coughing the other day"She continued, She really is persistent
"The other day? "
"19th May 2017,10:47 am. School's cafeteria. "She said. Wow damn specific, is she some kind of err detective?
"Ahhh. That girl with glasses. But who are you? "I finally remembered but she looks different from what I remembered
"I changed because I want to be a better person for you"she said boldly.
"Sorry but I already have someone I like. "I rejected her
"Please think about it! I can be better! "She persisted
"I think you're fine the way you are. "I told her and left.
The next day after school. I had a fight with Ayano so she went home 5 minutes earlier.
As I was walking back home, I saw a group of 10 guys surrounded my sister with weapons.
She even cried"Onii... I'm sorry"she said. I ran to the guy in front of her who was holding her hair
"Don't touch my sister! "I shouted
"Oho, I found you"he was about to punch me but I Dodge and punched his stomach. As soon as I did, My two arms were being held by two men
"You know.. You should accept a pretty girl if she confess. Now she's angry. She even want you to be hospitalised. So bear with it okay? "The first man said
"You! "I
"We will hurt you sister if you fight back."he whispered at my ear
"I get it"I let go of any resist and then..... It's a dark world..... For a very long time..
