The first thing that In Ha noted was how disorderly the living room was. It certainly showed signs of seven grown men inhabiting the place and she stifled a laugh when she saw random objects occupying every empty space. The apartment gave off a comforting feel and In Ha breathed in the scent of macaroni and cheese. Someone was cooking. Probably Kim Seokjin.
Oversized coats hung haphazardly on the couches, bits of food lay scattered on the tinted glass table and In Ha was certain she saw a piece of clothing with a Ryan doll printed on it lying under one of the chairs. She blushed furiously when she realized what it may be.
Namjoon followed her gaze and his face turned red, hurrying to pick said piece of clothing and trying to clear the couch to make some space for her.
“You’re back! We just received a very weird call from your security guard, something about you making off in an unknown car-" Hoseok stopped short when he saw who Namjoon had brought with him.“Um, hello,” he began, an awkward smile on his face. In Ha smiled back at him and gave a small wave, aware of how absurd this whole scenario must seem.
Hoseok remained standing in the entrance to what was most likely his room as an arm shot out, pushing him out of the way. “What is it with you guys always blocking entrances?” Yoongi said, stepping out.
His eyes traveled to Namjoon, who was trying to look as casual as possible and then to In Ha, who was wishing she was anywhere but here right about now.
“What is this?” he quietly asked, directing the question at Namjoon.
“Hyung, we were in a bit of a bind. Please just let me explain,” Namjoon began but was interrupted by the maknae line bounding into the living room, stepping over each other in their hurry to get there, baffled looks on their faces.
Jungkook yelped as he realized that the visitor was a female and ran to collect all his discarded pieces of clothing while Jimin merely shot In Ha an embarrassed smile, backing into the room he had popped out of, mumbling something about changing out of his boxer shots.
Namjoon absorbed the disarray of their dorm with a sigh, knowing how discomforting this was for all of them. “So we ran into a little bit of trouble,” he continued.
He explained what had happened as the members stared at him, attempting to make sense of this new development. “And so I thought it would be a good idea to come here,” he finished.
“Good idea? Are you kidding me?” Yoongi’s chagrin was rising by the minute. “What if this stalker had followed you here? You practically revealed our address!”
Namjoon flinched. “I realize it might not have been the wisest decision but I wasn’t thinking straight and all I wanted was to get away safely.”
Yoongi let out an exasperated sigh, glaring at Namjoon with unmasked annoyance. In Ha , however, recognized the veiled concern in his eyes. “I didn’t mean to invade your privacy. Namjoon was just trying to help.”
“Namjoon? You’re on a first name basis now?” Seokjin asked, walking out of what was apparently the kitchen, a pan in his hands.
In Ha swallowed hard. Before she could deny the implication in his question, Yoongi broke in. “So you drove here in your car? Don’t you think that the license plate might be a give away?” he asked, still unconvinced.
“I thought so too, but In Ha-sshi assured me that it's registered under ILLUMINAI and not her name,” Namjoon answered, eyeing Seokjin and attempting to dispel any warped conclusion he may have arrived at.
“And whoever it was must have seen Namjoon, uh, Mr Kim, get into the car with me and decided to follow us. That could also be the reason they didn’t cause any excessive harm, not wanting to risk hurting a second person,” In Ha added.
