~Chapter 19~

~Start of chapter 19~

~(Y/N)'S POV~

I slammed the door open and laid Hiromi on the couch. "What happened?!" EJ asked.

"We were attacked by Rake.."

EJ quickly picked up Hiromi and ran off to his room. I walked over to the couch and flopped on it. Using all those magic really took away a ton of my energy.

"How'd you escape him?" Jeff asked. "I had to use some magic to get rid of him. I-I mean, I didn't kill him, I just drove him away."

"Ah.."

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed some snacks before running back to room.

I shut the door and dumbed the snacks on my desk. Opening the laptop I had, I typed in the URL address for youtube and watched my favourite youtubers.

'Hey (Y/N).'

"Sup Shad." She floated beside me and watched silently. 'Who and what are they doing?' I chuckled and explained what (favourite youtuber) is doing. 'Weird..oh! Hey! Follow me!'

"Jesus christ, Shad..Almost everyday you show me something new."

'Just come!'

I rolled my eyes and jumped out the window with her.

She led me into a dark area. 'Light it up..' She spoke. I quickly lifted my hand. It quickly shot out small light particles to light the area.

"What the-"

The area was pretty. '..Since your here, I should tell you something.' I turned around, facing Shad. 'So, remember when Hiromi said she was going out to the market? Yeah, she came to this place and quickly darkened the area. She has been acting innocent when she had been doing all the bad things. She lied to you. She knows.'

My eyes widened. "B-but she loves me, right?"

'Of course she does. Your the only thing that brought happiness in her life.'

I smiled. I looked up to see a deer, slowly inching towards us. It is a beautiful doe.. Oh no... This reminds me of what my previous owner said when we went to the petting zoo exactly 12 years ago (your 16 years old)...

"Just pet it dear.. It doesnt bite.."

I felt tears prick my eyes as my mind continued to replay the scene. Shad was busy making flower crowns. The deer seemed to notice and run up to me, nuzzling itself on me. "At least this deer is nicer... Doesn't kick me or anything.." You lifted your pants/skirt to check the scar on your thigh. It was indeed still there.

'Let's go back (Y/N)!' I quickly wiped my tears and got up. I guess Shad was still busy trying to carry the flower crowns she made for everyone to notice the tears. The deer insisted I ride it. How did i know? It was profusely trying to get under me. I sighed happily as I climbed up the deer and sat on it's back. 'Woah, cool ride!' Shad said, floating off in the direction of the mansion.

When we reached the mansion, we entered by the front door. "And where have you two been? And how'd you tame a freaking deer?!" Hiromi fumed. Her ears were pressed flat on her head and her tail was in between her legs. "uh oh."

'uh oh indeed...'
