The Sirens Song

    For Quinn. Because for an odd reason (that i will never understand) she has been anticipating for me to upload another chapter. So here you go Quinn. I hope this complexes your madness... ;) <3 :)

I could feel my hearts pumping and beating through my chest. Now that i notice it, neither was in sync with the other which probably why i was such a defensive animal. She was going to it again...But she said that it can't be done twice. Not only would it be more painful, it would make my body in tune with its self. Rendering me weak and helpless. Its actually how most sirens drown.

She gave the look of a mother who had strangled her own child. A wild look. I do not wish to be at the receiving end of that glare again.

"But you told me...You, y-y-you said that it can't. That it couldn't....That it WOULDN'T!!!" My voice showed a lot more emotion than i intended it to. It sounded fake. Like I wasn't the one speaking

Mulires Sapientes smiled back at me like a crazed animal. Her black and loosely stuck on teeth looked as if they were about to tumble out at at any given moment if she kept smiling like that. I widened my gaze and tilted my head ever so slightly, just hoping that she wouldn't notice my obvious distress. It was like she was frozen in time, non-moving, completely still.

As i awkwardly tried to stay afloat while holding my position of not moving either, she sat. Still perched like a parrot atop of her rock. Doing nothing but continuously beaming down at me.

I kept myself composed and relaxed until I just couldn't take it anymore. The awful silence was deafening and left me waiting for a sound. Any sound. Something that was even slightly reassuring. But of course, as you probably guessed, nothing happened. Not even the small waves from the water i was unsettling made noise.

I snarled and clentched my jaw so tight it felt as if my teeth would shatter into little bits.

"Stop playing tricks on me Mulires Sapientes!!!!!" I roared into the disturbing silence of the cave.

Finally she stopped smiling and retracted her spell over the ominous cave. Once the waves started to make noise,  i relaxed slightly.

Confusion clouded over my mind as my thoughts wandered around. I just didn't understand. I didn't know. I didn't even know if I WANTED to know!

But after a few gentle seconds of peaceful silence, i was calm again. Relaxed but definitely not ready for what i assumed was going to happen.

Raising her crooked fingers to scratch at her peeling and flaky scale like skin she raised her ghastly voice and spoke once more. "WhY dO YoU FEaR yOUr CrEATor So? WhY DO YoU HidE FrOM Me??"

My head buzzed with sassy answers that i knew would anger her but i didn't really feel like another Tropical Cyclone, so i composed myself once more and counted to ten before replying.

"Creator, you are a witch. You punish me for things that are out of my control. My powers have limits. YOURS don't. The last time you were mad at me you nearly ripped apart the ocean itself! You are not my mother. Only my creator. We are nameless and always will be as we are damned to earth by your uncontrollable rages. You are not a siren and never will be. You are a hag who controls me with your tricks." She blinked in amusement. Not quite the reaction i had hoped for...

"Your voice is lovely," she soothed. I was taken aback at how pretty her voice was and could be. It wasn't real, i knew that. It was most likely the voice of a previous victim. "So DON'T waste it on something so Vulgar as a low level threat or insult!!" She snapped and glared at me from above.

"Enough. What do you want?"I was sick of all the mind games. The teasing and lying. I was over it. Over her.

Finally she broke the ice and started to speak....

Quinn. I'm supa tired right now so I'm going to have to finish this chapter later. Sorry about how boring it is at the moment but oh wel. Sucks for you cause you are actually interested in this story. So good for you. ;)
