Disclaimer: I do not own Elder Scrolls V Skyrim.
I land and barrel row against the wood floor in order to not break or sprain my legs, the odd thing is that it had felt natural for me. I look behind me and sees the Nord girl, Astrid, jump down from the hole in the tower. "Lets go, Astrid, I for one don't want want to become dragon food."
She only nods and follows me as it head off towards a hole on the other of the interior of burning house, but before I jump down I notice a small knife on a lightly burnt table.
I grab it and looks at Astrid. "Come here and hold out your hand." She walks over and holds them out. I slip the warm blade between the tight rope bindings and cuts it. "Cut mine now." I turn the blade and she cuts mine off as well.
I head over to the hole in the floor and jumps down then has a look around, but before I could get out of the way, Astrid fell on top of me. "God damn it. Couldn't you have waited?"
I ask with a groan as she sits on top of me and replys for the first time quietly, timidly, and almost with a small stutter. "S-sorry." She gets up and steps away. As I get up, a roar is heard and the building shakes.
I get up off the ground and runs out of the building. I look down the road and sees the scribe call out to a boy kneeling by a corpse of a man. "Haming, you need to get over here, now!" They boy gets up and darts over as the dragon lands by the man. "That's it boy, you're doing great."
The scribe and boy runs behind the building with an elderly man as they dragon burns the corpse and takes off again. "You prisoners still alive!? Stay by me and you'll live. Gunnar, take care of the boy, I'm going to look for General Tullius and join the defence." The elderly man replys "Gods guide you, Hadvar."
Hadvar pulls out his sword and runs down towards the wall we follow. "Stay close to the wall!" He shouts just after the dragon lands on it. The dragon burns the Imperial in front of use before. Hadvar grabs my arm. "Both of you, get to the keep, I'll meet you there." I nod and looks at Astrid "lets go. I'm not staying here for long."
She nods and follows me as the chaos brews around us, as we exit a building we needed to pass through a fire caught the side Astrid's arm and she falls, screaming and crying in agony. I stop to look at her as she holds her burned part of her arm. I dart over and picks her up in my arms.
Unknowingly, she blushes as I carry her to the around the streets where more if the chaos rises. We soon make it to the keep and we see Ralof. "You two made it? Come on, before-" "Ralof, you traitor!" "Hadvar, were escaping." "Oh, and do tell who this 'we' is, because these two are coming with me! And I hope that dragon takes you to Sovngarde!"
I groan. "Will the two of you shut up!? There no damn reason to go at each others throats right now. Its us against a bloody dragon, so enough of your fighting and work together. Gods, you two act like an old married couple." They look at me as I head to the entrance to the barracks. "I hate to agree, but he is right Ralof" Hadvar says as he walks past. Ralof grumbles and follows him in.
I step in and heads towards a bed. "Ok, lets stop and calm down for a bit. Ralof, look for any supplies around here that me and Astrid could use" He looks around without saying a word. I turn and looks at Astrid's wound. "Damn. Hadvar, is there any medical supplies in here?"
Ralof heads to a cabinet and opens it. "Damn it. No, Nicolas, someone must have gotten in here before we did and took the veils of health potions from the cabinet." I sigh and groan tiredly. "Ok, go and check ahead of use, and if there's any stormcloaks, talk to them, don't attach." He nods and heads to the other door leading further into the keep
Ralof comes back with a single pair of armor and three swords. "This was all I could find." He says as he puts them down on the chest at the foot of the table. "Ok, Astrid will wear them." Suddenly she grabs my arm and asks quietly "W-what about y-you? Y-you'll be u-unprotected t-then."
