The night went by so fast. Harry was already drunk, Niall and Louis were asking their ladies if they want to call it a night. Next thing I knew, I was walking towards my car and Yassi was next to me.
"We'll do this again!" Harry said in between his laughter, "And hey!" he added. Everyone looked at him, including Yassi.
Is it pathetic that I hate seeing Yassi enjoy watching one of my stupid friends? I should be the only one to cause her smile, not Harry, just me.
"Thank you for choosing to spend your evening with us five idiots!" Harry told the ladies. Charming as always, Harry.
Yassi's smile even widen which made me huff in annoyance. Lucky enough, she was too busy laughing at the drunk lad to notice how pathetic I was acting.
"Speak for yourself," Liam said, while trailing behind him.
I opened the passenger door for Yassi to slid in the car, then marched back to the other side.
"You cold?" I asked when I got in, reaching for the ac to turn it down a bit.
"Not really," she answered with a soft smile.
I've been wanting to be alone with her all night, thinking of all the things we could talk about, and the things I would like to ask her. It's difficult to act as if I don't know what she's going through, to act as if I'm oblivious to her hardships.
Her past must be really scary for her.
Selective amnesia.
Fuck. What could I do, right? It has been done- the damage has been done- and this beautiful person is suffering because of it.
"Oh, wait a sec. I'll just talk to Liam."
When I reach Liam and Harry, I helped them with their situation. Poor Liam. He was having the hardest time of his life.
"Thanks, lad. This baby doesn't really know when to stop drinking."
"Yeah. We're dead. Surely Gemma would go nuts," I told him earning a chuckle. But my expression must have made it obvious that I was about to talk about something serious.
"Zayn," he sighed, "The lads told me everything. You know what's with Perrie, right?"
"I know. But I don't need you going around taunting Yassi. She doesn't know anything," I explained.
"But that doesn't make her innocent. You can't go around dating her while Perry is moping because of you," he said with much conviction.
"You don't know what Perrie did. So I suggest you keep yourself away from us. Yassi and me. I'm done with Perry."
"Really, Zayn? Even after she paid all your family's debts? That's what you're going to do?"
I'm containing myself but this piece of a bastard is a master of provoking. He glanced behind me, and I know he was trying to see Yassi.
"Stop taunting her, Liam."
"Look at her, lad. Just imagine what you'll cause her if you don't get your mind straight and drag her to hell."
"This is bullshit. Perrie and me, it's never gonna happen again. And I'll her the money back."
"Or you could just get back together. Everyone will be happy."
"Fuck you. It's not gonna happen again."
"Zayn, look. Yassi knows nothing between you and Perrie. But once she'll know, she'll leave you."
I can feel the anger boil inside me as I continue to listen. Before I know my knuckle made contact with his face.
"Don't tell me that!" I feel the electricity run through my body as I control mt anger, "She'll never leave," I whispered.
"I won't buy that shit, Zayn!"
We continued to attack each other. I managed to grab his collar and smal him against his car. Undeniably, Liam is much stronger than I am. But that doesn't stop me. He fucking saw this coming. I know I only have a few seconds before Yassi would come to his rescue.
But before she could stop me, I gave my all. Punching Liam straight to his face feels glorious as the echo of his words earlier kept resurfacing on my mind.
"Zayn stop!" she shrieked, stopping me.
"Get in the car, Yassi!" I told her. I turned to face her, letting go of Liam's collar.
She doesn't looked scared but she was stepping away from us. That's a good sign.
"Just go, Yassi," Liam said, wiping off the blood from the corner of his mouth, "I hate to tell you this, but you have to kno-"
"I said fucking get in my car!" I said much louder and the look one her face changed. If I was right I caught a flash of fear in her eyes.
"What is wrong?" she asked her voice just above a whisper. I can see the battle stirring inside that crown eyes. "I'm going," she sharpky turned. The fear, hurt, and anger from her eyes lingered for a moment before I composed myself and abandoned Liam, going after Yassi.
"Yassi, wait!" I shout, running after her.
"What?! I just don't want you to hurt Liam- that's all. But why do you have to shout at me like I'm a kid you can't get rid off?!" her voice was in waves. Fear and anger combines.
"You're over reacting," I muttered.
Fuck. I'm not really good at this. The only way I know when something is annoying me is to get rid of it easily. And the easiest way is to be a dick. I always do that. Lash out on someone or something.
"Because yeah, stopping you guys fight is sort of over reacting. I should've let you kill one another, right? Because walking away from you 'cause you lashed out on me while I'm completely clueless to whatever the bloody hell you two are arguing about is totally over reacting."
"Why do you always have to be difficult?!"
She shrugged then started to walk away from me. I could see that she was tired from my attitude and so was I. But I don't want her to go.
I want her because I like her.
I call her a couple of times, trying to convince that she will come to her senses and forgive me for being a dick.
"See? She left," Liam shout behind me as Yassi continued to walk away.
"Fuck you," I told him as I get into my car and drove away.
I'm finishing this problem. Fuck this.
