Falling: Frisk x Sans

When you wish upon a- rock?

(Narrator) 

After the party, Sans, Papyrus, and Frisk went back to Snowdin to help Frisk pack her stuff and get ready to go back to the ruins. After they finished, they decided to go to Waterfall to take a walk. 

During the walk. . .(first person/frisk pov )

"HUMAN! ARE THERE WATERFALLS ON THE SURFACE TOO? BECAUSE IF SO, WHERE DOES THE WATER FALL FROM?", Papyrus asked me  

"Well we do have waterfalls but they usually are from rivers when they reach to a cliff." I replied as he gave a disappointed sigh. At the thought of this I started to realize something. Where is the water falling from if we are underneath the surface? Is there an opening? Where is the freaking logic in that?!?

"Hey bro don't start asking the kid questions. Once you get going, you'll  probably  never stop." Sans joked,  making me forget what I was thinking about.

I gave Sans a thankful smile and he winked. He always had something to say and he never once missed a comeback. No matter what the scene, it seemed like he could always slide a joke into the situation. I find that likable while a lot of others seem to get pretty annoyed by it. I wonder if I can ever find him in a situation where he doesn't know what to say. That would be some sight. 

"Hey Sans how do you come up with your jokes so fast?", I asked him curiously.

"Hmm well I don't know kid. I guess I just say what pops up.", he replied and he had a half-smirk/ half-smile on his face. I don't know why but it just makes me smile uncontrollably every time he does that.  I never thought I'd  just zone out at the thought of his smile until I see him waving his hand in my face. "Frisk? Earth to frisk. Can ya hear me?" He says as he keeps waving. I gain consciousness then I shove his hand away.

"Ok ok cut it out, I'm back jeez." I instantly felt a little bad for being so rude but I can't undo my actions. He rolled his eyes and smiled,  then he pulled me along to catch up with Papyrus. I don't know how long I zoned out, but papyrus had already gotten to the field of echo flowers right next to the cavern with the glittery rocks that looked like stars. "Hey Sans how long was I zoned out?"

"I dunno. About five minutes or so" he shrugged and kept walking forwards. "Ha you had some silly dreamlike smile on your face and your cheeks were bright red. You looked so adorable." he said laughing. I felt my cheeks burning. 

"I AM NOT ADORABLE!!!" I burst out mindlessly. Why the heck would he say that?! Does he think of me as some cute little kid?! I am a teenager I'm not a cute little girl!!! "I'M NOT SOME CUTE LITTLE GIRL!!!" He stared at me with a lost look. I realized that I was overreacting and I bit my lip and walked forward with my head down. "S-sorry..." I sped up my pace and he grabbed me by he wrist and looked me in the eyes. I tried tearing my eyes away from his, yet they were too alluring. He smirked and moved stray hair out of my face. 

"Whoever said that I meant adorable in a childish way?" What! Did he just say that? AM I ZONED OUT OR IS THIS REAL?!?! I felt his face grow closer to mine and his eyes still pierced into my soul. 

"S-sans...what are you doing." I could hear that my voice was lightly trembling and shrill. I stumbled back a little but, he moved his hand from my wrist to above my waist and pulled me a little closer. I felt a sudden shiver run up my spine. omgomgomgSansisrightinfrontofmeandhehashishandagainstmeandhecalledmeadorableandheislookingstrightintomyeyesandifIjustmoveforwardsjusttwoinchesIcouldprobablyjustkisshimandomgwhatamIthinkingandIthinkImgonnathrowup....

I shrieked and pushed him off of me and fell to the floor where my hand brushed against an echo flower. He stumbled back too.

"Oh look at the pretty flowers! Aren't they pretty momma?"

"Frisk I-" he looked down "No...n-nevermind. lets go, Paps is probably wondering where we are." He walked off into the cave and I got up and followed from a distance. 

"OH HELLO BROTHER! AND FRISK TOO!" Papyrus seemed pleased to see us. I know I wouldn't be though. 

"Hey Paps what have you been up to?" Sans asked, seeming like nothing happened. 

"OH NOT MUCH. I'VE BEEN LOOKING AT THE SPARKLING ROCKS ."

"That's interesting. Frisk and I were- um... admiring the echo flowers." Hmm...I guess he is still thinking about it. 

"COOL!" Papyrus exclaimed cheerfully.

I looked up to see the glittery rocks that caved over me. It really is beautiful but it's still not the same as it was on the surface....

"Hey Frisk are you alright?" Sans voice shattered my nostalgic thoughts.

"Mhm.." I replied as I sat down on the ground. "I just was thinking of something."

Sans gave me a warm look then sat down beside me, Papyrus wandering off.

"So kid imma guess your thinking about home aren't ya?" How does he do that?

"Heh kinda..." I don't really like mentioning my life on the surface and it makes me uncomfortable when monsters ask me about it. The thing is, you don't go to a mountain where no one ever returns, just bc ur dumb enough to. I knew that I wasn't going to make it back. That was the point....

"Hey I understand. It's not the same how it is back where u lived but it's the best we've got down here." He sounded firm for a second then loosened up. "So anyways, what's your wish?"

"Pardon?"

"Ya know. Your wish. Some say if you wish on the stones it may come true" he winked as he let out a laugh. 

"I don't know what I wish." I said honestly. He Gazed at me with a smile. "Heh what's that smirk for?" 

"Oh nothing." He said implying that I keep asking. I just looked at him waiting for him to just answer. " I was just thinking about my wish"

"Oh and what would that be?" I played along. 

"Heh can't tell you or it won't come true" he said teasing me. 

I layed back and stared at the rocks again.  "Heh I guess I'll never know."

"Heh I guess so." He mumbled  at we stared up and admired the view.

(Sans' POV)

I stare at the rocks with Frisk by my side and I re-cap my thoughts.

Heh kid...
