• YOUR POV •
Today is a Friday morning. Classes are suspended for who knows why... But as I know, the principal made it a holiday because it's his Birthday or something... We we're all cuddled up, sleeping. I was facing the ceiling as Toby hugged my waist. Kageyama was facing the other side.
It was quiet with just the sound of the birds singing a wonderful melody in chorus. But that broke when we heard Toby sneezing. I opened my eyes and looked at Toby who kept on sneezing.
Kageyama was also shook from his sleep as he turned around to face us. I sat up and rubbed my eyes as I asked him,
"Are you okay, Toby?" I yawned, circling my hand on his back. "Mommy... I... Think I'm... Gonna... Have... A cold..." Toby said in between sneezes and coughs.
"Awww poor baby." I said and took the bottle of water that Kageyama just brought in. "Is it still itchy?" I asked the child. He nodded and rubbed his nose.
"Hey, what about we bring Toby to the beach? The Sea breeze is a good cure for runny nose... It always helps me back when I was little." I smiled. I grew up near the shore. Having old school parents, they believed that natural treatments are way better than synthetic ones. Complaints can never be handed out though, their methods always worked. In two days time, Toby will be good as before.
"Sounds good..." Toby said, calming up as he stood up, sniffling.
And so we all ended up in the beach. I packed us enough food, sunblock, and clothes for the day... We also brought a tent that we can use.
Toby was walking in between as Kageyama and I held on his hands. I didn't know what brought me to turn around but as I turned around, I can't help but notice the cute footprints that we created. Toby's footprints are the cutest.
"What's wrong, Mommy?" Toby asked. "Nothing, it's just that your little footprints are so cute." I chuckled and brought our Polaroid camera out to take a picture of it.
I looked up and saw Kageyama with a small smile on his face. Seriously, is he trying to fool me by saying that he can't smile when he can really smile? I smiled back making him blush and turn away.
The three of us stopped walking and gazed towards the wonderful view. It was like looking at the never ending side of the ocean... "Mommy, is it right that these water connect our country to another??" Toby asked.
I nodded and I swear I saw his eyes shining like how Kageyama's eyes shined whenever he played volleyball. "So if I swimmed here, can I get to America???" Toby asked.
Which reminded me... Today is Friday... This Sunday, Toby would be going back to his mom. I smiled at him and ruffled his hair. "It can be swimmed but it's safer with airplane... That way, no sharks can eat youuuu~~~~" I laughed and started to tickle Toby.
"Hahaha mommy, stop!!!" He laughed as he wriggled around and ran towards Kageyama, hiding beside him. Kageyama chuckled and walked towards my side making Toby shriek.
"Why, why do you do this to meeee!!!" He shouts, more like screamed like a girl as he ran away. Kageyama and I of course, ran after him. Laughter and chatters filled the place as the three went inside the tent that Kageyama and Toby assembled.
"Do you like rice balls?" I asked, opening a container filled with rice balls. "What's inside, Mommy?" Toby asked. "Red bean paste." I smiled and he grinned, taking three and devouring them. "Wow, you like red bean paste, huh?" I smiled and he nodded his head.
Kageyama watched as he took a bite of my home made steamed buns. "Toby, do you miss your mom?" I accidentally asked making Tobio and Toby glance over to me. They each had solemn faces.
"I do miss my Mom... But I would also miss the two of you..." The child pouted. "It's alright, Toby. As long as you come and visit us when you can, okay?" I smiled. He nodded.
I looked at Kageyama who was already looking at me. I squinted and went near him. He looked flustered when I did lessen the gap between our faces. "Y/N, Toby is here..." He nervously said. I raised an eyebrow and took a bite of his steamed bun.
"I'm such a great cook," I smiled and chewed on his steamed bun. "Tch. You made enough so why eat mine?" He complained.
"I don't want to eat mine yet..." I grinned and looked at Toby who was laughing.
"And Toby, that is what you call selfishness..." Tobio said pointing over to me.
"Oi! Don't say that! It's called conserving food..." I stuck my tongue out and the silly arguing started there.
On our way home, after watching the sunset, Kageyama, Toby and I rode a taxi. Beside me, I saw Kageyama leaning his head on the window as Toby leaned his head on Kageyama's lap and a hand was on his back as they slept peacefully. I chuckled and pulled my camera up, pointing it towards the three of us. I did a peace sign as the two were sleeping.
Another day down... One more left...
