*39 week pregnant*
I was just standing by the sink in the kitchen drinking a cup of water because it was so hot and being pregnant makes me twice as thirsty.
I got slightly startled by shawn walking in, he's just has a meeting with Andrew about touring and to be completely honest I am scared because what if he doesn't come back to me, what if he doesn't find the time for me and the baby after he fully starts when he releases his next album.
Our baby is due in 1 week, I've never been so happy not that I hate being pregnant it's amazing how you can feel the baby kick but I wanna meet my baby.
I got snapped out of my thoughts.
"Babe you were day dreaming" he said chuckling at me.
"Oh sorry" I said to him.
"How was your meeting with andrew" I said.
He walked up to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, he pecked my lips.
"It was good, it was just how when I've released my new album I can get ready to tour" he said.
"Oh that's great baby" I said to him making it seem like I was happy that he was touring like don't get me wrong he's been waiting a long time to get back into this but I'm just gonna miss him and if he goes soon our baby is gonna grow his or hers first few months up without having a daddy with them.
We walked to the living room and I sat down while shawn got a movie set up.
Shawn then came to sit next to me.
"I love this film" I said to him as it began.
"I know you do that's why I put it on" he said to me laughing.

We were coming to the end of the film when I felt something wet go down my legs.
"Shit, my water just broke" I said to shawn frantically.
"Oh crap, the baby isn't due till next week" he said jumping up from where he was sitting and getting the bag that we had prepared that was in the cuboard in the hallway and then he got his car keys and went to open the car door.
He came rushing back into the house and picked up my shoes and picked me up bridal style.
He walked quickly to the car.
I was in pain because the contractions have started.
He put my seat belt on for me and ran around to the other side of the car.
I was groaning out I pain as he was driving the quickest he was a load to the hospital.
"Babe it's okay I'm here and I'm not leaving your side" he said grabbing my hand to trying to keep me not focused on that at this point.

Shawn was carrying me into the hospital and he went up to front desk.
"Excuse me but my girlfriend is in labour" Shawn said to her.
"Okay that's fine, I'll call someone to come and help you" she said ringing someone.
"Thank you" I said to her.

I was now laid on a hospital bed with one of the nurses checking how many centimetres I was until I could start pushing and I was dreading it.
Shawn was holding my hand to make me feel more relaxed.
"Okay lily you are fully dilated you are at 10 centimetres I need you to start pushing" she said to me.
"Babe you can do this but you need to open your legs wider" he said to me.
"Shut up shawn that's how this happened in the first place" I said and he laughed.
I started pushing, it hurts so fucking bad. When people say labour is the worst pain you can experience I'm actually pretty sure it's true.
"Omg shawn I hate you" I screamed while I was pushing with all the strength I have.
"I love you too babe" he said rubbing my forehead.
"Okay lily the head is out, 1 more big push for me" the nurse said.
"Ughhhh" I screamed out in pain while pushing.
I then heard little crys. That was our baby.
I relaxed.
"It's a girl" she said to us happily.
"She wrapped her in a towel and placed her on my chest and the minute I saw her I fell in love with her, she was beautiful.
I looked over at shawn. He had tears going down his face.
"Would you like to cut the cord" the nurse said to shawn.
"Yeah I would love to" he said standing up from where he was sitting next to me.
He cut it and walked back over to where we were.
"Can I hold her" he said to me.
"Of course you can babe" I said to him.
He gently took her out of my hands and held her tiny body in his large arms.
"What are you going to name her" the nurse said to us.
"Anna rose mendes" we both said at the same time.
"Aww that's a cute name" she said.
"Is it okay if I take her to get her cleaned up, clothed and to feed her" she said to us
"Yes that's fine" Shawn said handing her to the nurse.
She walked out with her.
Shawn walked over to me and sat on the edge of the bed.
"You did amazing" he said leaning foward and kissed me on my lips and of course I kissed back, it lasted for about 30 seconds.
"Thank you" I said to him.
After a few minutes of talking the nurse came in with anna in her arms in clothes.
"Lily if you would like to there is a bathroom over there with a shower in it" she said pointing to the door.
"Yes that would be great, thank you" I said to her.
Shawn helped me out of the bed and lead me to the shower at this point anna was asleep in the bed type of thing provided for babies.

I was walking out of the hospital hand in hand with shawn while he carried anna in the other hand. He's already making such a great father.

We got out of the car and I got the bag and Shawn got anna's car seat that clips in and out.
"Babe go upstairs to our room and sleep, you need some rest. Anna is fine I've got her" he said to me.
"Thank you, I love you so much" I said to him walking up the stairs slowly with him trailing behind me with anna laying on his shoulder.
He took anna into the room he set up a month ago.
I went into our shared room and got into one of shawn's shirts and laid down.
I slowly fell asleep thinking about anna and Shawn
