Prompt: Imagine Person A burns their tongue on hot chocolate or coffee or something and Person B offers to kiss it better.
"Do you want coffee or tea, my love?" Lauren calls out from the kitchen as I work on setting up Hulu.
Tapping my thigh with the Roku remote, I dance around a little in my spot on the couch while Hulu loads. "Chamomile tea, if we have it, please!"
A few minutes later, I feel my lovely girlfriend sit down beside me and a warm mug is placed in my hands. Lightly pecking her lips, I cuddle into her as we scroll through the TV shows.
"How about The Simpsons?"
"We watched that last night. Gray's Anatomy?"
"Too much drama. Sabrina?"
"We've already seen all the episodes. Oh, what about Golden Girls?"
I nod against her shoulder as she starts up the show, sipping my tea before letting out a hiss of pain. "Ah!"
Leaning forward to set my mug on the table, I feel Lauren do the same and see her look at me in concern. "I'm alright, Lo...I shouldn't have tried to drink so soon, I knew it was hot."
In typical Lauren fashion, my girlfriend seizes the opportunity to tease me as she smirks. "Want me to kiss it better, mi amor?"
By now, I'm already used to her teasing so my response is instantaneous. "Yes, actually, that would be much appreciated."
Rolling her eyes, even though she's the one who offered in the first place, Lauren kisses me gently. It doesn't turn into anything else, just a simple and loving gesture from the love of my life. When she pulls away, she quickly licks my nose and giggles when it scrunches up. I never protest though, her giggle being my favorite sound in the world so I'll do just about anything to hear it.
"That better?"
"Much, thank you."
