To Love A Ghoul (Boy x Boy)

Part 1- Failure

What idiots.. They didn't even have full devotion towards the ghouls that were wronged.

"A-And so, I've been posting online, talking about how maybe ghouls aren't as bad as we think."

Hide'd gone so far down the drain, his parents had noticed his beliefs. It'd gotten too bad. Hide had scars along his body, and there were jars of blood and meat packages in his fridge. He often went out at night with a few of them, looking for some hungry ghouls to give the meat to.

Sometimes that ended badly.

"I've made up stories about.. about nice ghouls.." one of them seemed slightly disgusted with himself, and Hide couldn't help the scoff that escaped his lips. Everyone turned to him.

"Is there something you want to say, Hideyoshi?"

"..." Hide merely pulled up his sleeve, showing them the many scars that adorned his arm. They all gasped. "I don't have to make up stories either," Hide snapped, "I've been there!"

"Hideyoshi, you're just confus-"

"No, mom!" Hide snapped at the woman next to him, "I'm not confused, and I'm not disoriented! I've had my life saved by a ghoul two times in a row! I can explain why the ghouls do what they do! I can tell you every reason they hate the CCG! The humans don't ever give ghouls a chance! Of course every ghoul becomes a murderer! Of course every ghoul loses their innocence! With everything they have against them, how could they continue to stand?!!"

"Ghouls are monsters, Hideyoshi! They eat people!"

"Because that's their only choice! Some of them go nuts just having to eat our meat! Others break at things like their family and friends being killed by the CCG! I can name a bunch of ghouls who try their best to live a normal life! They have human friends, and they don't kill people! They eat suicide victims! Now if-"

"Excuse me," his mother chuckled nervously, dragging Hide by his elbow.

"I'm not wrong, mom! It's nuts! It's just a never-ending cycle of hatred and death! Ghouls had to eat humans, so the humans started hating them! The humans started killing them, so the ghouls started hating them! But what was the cause of all this?!! WE ARE MERELY CATTLE FOR GHOULS! DO OUR CATTLE HATE US BECAUSE WE EAT THEM?!! NO! SO WHY SHOULD WE HATE THE GHOULS FOR HAVING TO EAT US?!! WE ARE THEIR FOOD, AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!! THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM TRYING TO LIVE!!"

The people still in the room exchanged horrified glances.
