The I know that this isn't really a fandom but it is still one of the biggest organisations for girls worldwide. It is held in more countries than I can name and has over 500,000 members. It teaches girls that anyone can be anything no matter what. It has been going since 1910, founded by Lord Robert Baden-Powell.
Lord Baden-Powell had founded Boy Scouts a couple of years before; 1907, and boys were loving it. Many girls began to grow jealous of what they were missing out on. They tried to join the scouts, even making up a girl's version of the scout uniform. Finally, in 1910, Lord Baden-Powell decided that girl's should have their own organisation and thus the girl guides were born.
I am a guide myself and I love it. I enjoy completing all the badges that exist and going on all the camps and trips with my pack. I have attended two international camps which were absolutely fantastic. To anyone and everyone out there, if you need something to do I highly recommend joining the guides and scouts. Trust me, you will enjoy it!
