"Don't have your past bring you down, make something of yourself and use it to not forget but change" ~Lyrical

I tapped my pencil against the wooden frame of my desk, listening to the repeated instructions from Mr. Butt head as he stood before us. I huffed out a sigh of boredom, quietly so he wouldn't be offended and get on man cycle. I looked down at my desk and spotted a folded piece of paper on top of my notebook. I looked up at Mr. Jones to find him facing the big black chalk board and took the initiative to quickly open up the note.
'Is it me or does the jackass look like barney on steroids today??'
My cheeks puffed up quickly, holding back as much laughter as I could. I knew exactly who wrote this note. The only person i knew, besides Derek, that curses. I looked over to my best friend, Jason as he sent me a sly smirk and went back to doodling in his sketch book. I rolled my eyes, playfully at his choice of actions and decided to write back.
'You know that's not nice'
I looked back up at our teacher to see him still facing the chalkboard and took that opportunity to pass it back. I looked up and held my hands on the desk, making it look like i was paying attention to every word he was saying but really replaying the sinful joke in my head while trying not to laugh.
He went on and on and on and let me just tell you, at this point, I'm ready to hit myself in the head with that fish bowl. I sighed in boredom until the folded piece of paper flew back on my desk. A smile slowly crept back on my face as I eyed my teacher's movements before opening the note.
'Am I ever nice Angel Face??'
A warm sensation ran across my cheeks at the given nickname. I looked over at him but his attention was stuck on his doodle. I looked back at the paper for a minute and shook my head, thinking nothing of it. I picked up my pencil and looked back up at the board to see Mr. Jones wasn't there, but at his desk, typing away.
Perfect
I looked back down at my desk and wrote a response.
'Angel Face?? Why the nick name?? You usually call me lyric'
I passed the note to him and patiently awaiting a reply. Minutes later it swept on my desk once again.
'You're sweet, kind and gentle like an angel and you're a pretty girl so why not?? Plus i wanted to spice it up a bit, can't blame a guy for trying'
The warm feeling came back as i read the line over and over again, looking staggered. He thought i was pretty?? A rebel like bad boy, that doesn't really care about anything or anyone, thought I was pretty?? Well I have to honestly say that this was a first. I never had a bad guy-or any guy in general really-refer to me as pretty. I thought I wasn't really good enough for the boys or daddies here, the first minute I walked onto the campus. I always belittle myself and think that I can change at least something about myself and think that there was always someone much more up to standard that there was someone who was always stood on the first place stool.
I shook my head out of my thoughts and replied a simple awe thanks to his statement. I felt a tinge of guilt run through me as I passed him the note because he said all of that nice stuff and i just replied with a simple two words. That's like a girlfriend or boyfriend typing away an essay to their loved one of how much they love them and mean so much to them and the other just replying back an okay.
THAT'S NOT OKAY!!
All of a sudden, the paper hit my hand and i looked down at it. Once i read the words on the lined paper, my heart almost dropped into my stomach. I looked up at him really quick but he was still drawing away in his notebook. I then turned my attention to the teacher in front of us who was standing up again at the boarding, writing down 'A Little's Needs' on the board. I took that to look down at the paper and read the reply once more as if I thought I was going crazy or something.
