Jaypaw stared at the forest around him... it's been a moon since he was apprenticed and he loved the smell of the forest... He was glad to be a medicine cat apprentice, but it was really hard work! He loved hanging out with Limefur... She was a really funny cat, and she loved having an extra paw to help! "Hey, Limefur! What did you need again? Yarrow?" Jaypaw purred. Limefur stared through the ferns and nodded "Yarrow and Horsetail!" Limefur meowed. Jaypaw nodded and went into the forest to find the Yarrow and Horsetail..
Jaypaw soon found Horsetail near the old barn... He picked up as much as he could carry and ran to find Yarrow...
Jaypaw hurried along the edge of the border with Brackenclan and picked up a few stalks of Yarrow... He tried not to bite the leaves considering the poison that was held in them... He races back to camp and dropped the herbs by Limefur... "Good job, Jaypaw!" She praised him. Jaypaw could feel Limefur's warm breath on his fur. "Go get some prey. We can share." Limefur suggested.. Jaypaw nodded and ran off..
That night Jaypaw curled around his warm nest and fell asleep. 'Tomorrow's another day..' he thought, as he drifted into sleep...
Jaypaw woke up in a warm forest... The smell of burning ash tingled his nose.. "Hello, Jaypaw..." A voice sounded behind him.. Jaypaw turned to look but the ash burnt his eyes.. The air grew more faint and the sun began to fade to a creepy black. Jaypaw was in a creepy forest.. He saw the gleaming of eyes watching him from every angle.. "He..Hello?" Jaypaw called out.. There was no response.. "Hello Jaypaw.." The voice said again.. Who.. Who are you?" Jaypaw stammered.. "My name is Clawheart.." Clawheart stood in the faintest gleam of light... The world became fainter and he felt himself beginning to wake....
Limefur stood over him... A worried look on her face.. "Are you okay, Jaypaw?" Limefur asked. "Yes! I'm fine. Just a bad dream, that's all.." Jaypaw meowed... 'But was it?'....
