It was the last day of summer before Sophomore year for Natalie and Emma Jane. They had not seen each other all summer since Natalie had gone to London for the summer to visit her cousins. Now, she was back and the girls were meeting up at their state fair. EJ was literally bouncing on her feet on the outside of the fair. She was scanning the crowd for her friend. Her sister Kate laughed.

"Calm down, Emma Jane. She will be here soon!" Kate said. EJ couldn't help it. All they had was texting and calling over the summer, since her cousins did not have Wi-Fi. Soon, Emma Jane saw a familiar head of bleached blonde hair walking up to them. It was Natalie! EJ ran up to her friend and tackled her with a hug. She left Nat hug her back. Finally, they broke apart. EJ looked over her friend. She had... changed.

Her hair was still blonde and brown at the roots. And her face was still covered with freckles, but there was something about her that through Emma off. She was wearing a new leather jacket that had a red heart on the back that read Heart Breaker in blue letters that hugged her just right. The shirt under the jacket was one that had the Union Jack all over the front. EJ was silent for what seemed like forever, just looking at Natalie. She couldn't find a word to describe Nat or her feelings.

Natalie looked at Emma Jane with a huge grin. "Emma! It is so good to see you!"

EJ broke out of her trance. "Uh, yeah! You too." Right as she said it EJ new she sounded unenthusiastic. Nat's face confirmed her thought. "Sorry, I meant it is good to see you too. You just look... never mind. Lets go in." Emma Jane patted her friend on the back and walked up to her sister.

"Well, I am still waiting for David. You two go on in, we will meet back here in three hours." Kate said as she handed her sister some money for tickets. The girls nodded and went in. As they walked to the ticket line Nat linked her arm with EJ's and the touch sent a warm feeling through out her body, making her shiver just a slight.

"What's wrong? Are you cold? You can wear my jacket if you want." Nat offered her friend. The thought of wearing Nat's clothes made EJ excites, but she declined.

"It is just a breeze, I am ok." They got their tickets and decided to go on with their day, Emma Jane tried not to be awkward, but sometimes it was hard not to be.

That night EJ sat on her bed, head in hands. What was that feeling? Emma Jane had felt something similar before, but never like this and it was always around boys. But they were not with a boy, it was just EJ, Kate, and Nat. And EJ knew she was not attracted to her sister, but Nat was like a sister. Natalie was her best friend let alone a girl! She couldn't be attracted to her. But she was.

EJ sighed, if only Natalie knew how well her jacket fit her, a heart breaker.
