GAME OVER {Book 1}

Round 6

I screamed until my lungs collapsed. I then blacked out.

I woke up and I looked around. I was in a box. "Here is the riddle for today!" A voice shouted. Soon, a projector played on a screen.

It showed a girl with cat ears playing around with her Nintendo Switch. I smiled, hoping when I was age for one.She smiled to the camera, and soon the once smiling girl turned into a dark one.

The atmosphere near her turned dark and you could hear crying. Her dark brown eyes turned red from crying so much.

The clip stopped and it played another. But why was the girl crying?  It played another with the same girl. She was outside playing with her cat.

She laughed as the cat jumped up and down trying to catch the mouse the girl held in her hands. I laughed as well reminding myself of Storm.

"Cookies!" The girl exclaimed.  The cat meowed and chased the girl, where she opened a box of cookies. I chuckled. This reminded me of Storm so much.

The adorable goofball she is. The clip stopped again, but my question was unanswered. Why was she crying? Another clip played with the girl waking up and walking to her cat.

She petted it, but then a man, possibly her parent told her something. Her smiling face grew into a sad one all of a sudden.

She stopped petting her. The cat purred and meowed, wanting to be petted. They somehow got into a car with the cat, and they made their way to a clinic.

The doctor explained to the little girl that the cat isn't always going to be with her. She nodded, hesitating at first. The doctor locked the door and the cat and the girl were only alone.

It was time to say her last words. She petted the cat repeatedly and the cat meowed happily. The girl then started crying, and the cat jumped into her lap meowing and rubbing her face.

"Say the words, even if it hurts , we've been pretending nothing's wrong far too long, Storm" The girl whispered to her cat.

The cat meowed. "Say it out loud, Storm like you really mean it now cause this is the last time Storm" She continued, petting the cat.

The door then opened and the doctor grabbed the cat. The doctor lay the cat down onto a tray and grabbed a needle and shot.

"Wait, I want to tell her something" The girl exclaimed, grabbing Storm for the last time. "We're at the crossroad, and I can't let it go I tried to make you stay" The girl explained, kissing the cat.

" I love you Storm" The girl said laying the cat down. The doctor proceeded giving the shot to the cat. The cat meowing loud but soon stopped.

The girl started to cry. "But you were already far away Storm!" She yelled, and the clip ended. I started crying. Storm was healthy looking cat and I had to give her up some day.

I cried knowing that fact. "I can bring tears to your eyes; resurrect you from the dead, make you smile,and make you smile. I form in an instant but I last a life time. What am I?" The voice asked.

Bring me to Tears. So did it make me cry and remind me of the dead, Storm. At last, it made me smile. I glanced up to the sound where the voice was coming.

" A memory " I replied having a smirk in my face. "Very well" The voice exclaimed, and a door opened. I then saw Erissa and Dulce.

"Guys!" I yelled running up to them. They smiled and we all greeted each other. "So what now? Alien invade Earth in the next round" Dulce mumbled.

"Maybe" Katherine replied.
