By time everybody gathered at the flagpole, the stratus clouds had blanketted the mid afternoon sky with their harrowing gaze. It had begun to rain and the clean liquid hurtled itself in drops against the war torn bodies of every Private or Cadet there. Everybody remained silent as a tall bulky general strolled past them observing their uniforms from head to toe.

He began to call out names. His booming shouts were followed by a short "Present, Sir!" Às he skimmed his eyes down the list of soldiers, now slightly damp from the drizzle.

The general began to speak...

"As you know, this is the beginning of the third year of this war and instead of tensions lowering, they are intensifying! The NeoSoviets have begun random ambushes upon bases that would come frequently! Orders have been given by the king of England, Leonard, that all soldiers are to be armed at all times now! New battallions will be formed and sent out on combat or recon missions in the next few weeks! Everybody is expected to be prepared and ignorance of orders will not be tolerated!"

After this, the general began to call out battallion names.

"Battalion I! Lucas Gordon, Gared Scott, Suzanne Birch, Patrick Guzman, Leanne Hira, Benjamin Brown, Ulrich Larson..." He continued to name the members.

Eventually he reached the thirteenth battallion and began to name members.

"Battalion Thirteen! Oliver Slade, Michael Slade, Henry Rocks, Chase Moroney, Steven Martin, Gerald Washington, Lewis Washington..."

Thunder rolled as if it were a malignant creature wanting to devour the world. Fifteen battallions were named in total that day and the solemn fighters returned to their bunks to prepare.

"At least were in the same battallion." Said Michael.

"Haha you got that right. Now let's stay and fight through this and make it out alive." Responded Oliver.

The two brothers returned to their bunks and organized their supplies and set their rifles near their beds. While looking through his bags, Oliver found a picture of his wife and daughter, stared at it for a few moments, then put it in his front pocket. After both brothers were finished organizing they layed on their two beds. Oliver worked on an old beat up rubix cube he received when he was seven. Michael took out a book named "The House of Seven Gables". When he opened the book, the first words he read were "God will give him blood to drink."

And so, ended the day and began the first day of advanced operations...
