Dark and narrow, buried deep inside
You can run though you can't hide
There are spots of light
Though not too bright
The more you get away from sorrow
The more they pull you into the furrow
Dark and narrow, vision obscured
You can run but directions are blurred
Tried to be amiable to earn some ropes
To pull you up when you see some dopes
Tug on them but they slip away, back to dark and narrow
You can run but never know tomorrow
Inside, you're in combat with vile creatures you scorn
Have this unseen battle you never expected to be born
Found you frail, easy to grasp, to be locked in a place dark and narrow
You can run but never last even with armour
No one can help you, not your sham cronies
Not with the pseudo agreement against antagonists
In this battle they chose to leave you alone in a place dark and narrow
The future we can't foreknow
