Why did you have to leave so soon
I haven't even seen your face enough
My heart heavy as though dumped by dunes
Without you everything seemed roughWhy did you have to leave so soon
Florence swaying as you removed your hold
Staring at the eldering moon
Gone is its shimmer of goldMy heart is torn missing you
It aches of the connection cut too soon
Our time together less than few
Left me vurnerable of the hyenas that loomMy heart is torn missing you
My memories not enough but I ache too much
I only hear second hand stories of you
Remnants of the lives you've touched
