Snapping Strings

Remember when we promised?
That hand and hand we'll get through this,
That together we'd build a bridge.
Never thought our friendship will be brought to the edge.

Admit it or not,
We slip away each time the sun sink.
We never knew, not until I noticed
We were always near but never give it justice.

I don't believe time heals everything.
For in our case, I can't hear the angel sing.
Have you seen, that all we can do were smiles.
Actions that can't mend the gap that made miles.

Did you forget?
The possibilities we thought and met.
That we did this for a change,
To turn a new page.

I was shook when someone told me.
'She's not a true friend, see?'
The phrase hurt and made me wonder.
It gave me thoughts to ponder.

You told me to understand.
I waited, my feet buried in sand
For how long will I stood still?
For it's starting against my life and will.

You'll never comprehend.
For you've never seen the world bend.
With my very own eyes, I saw my world crashing.
Everyone and everything I love depleting.

I'm not blind to not know that you're happy.
That you are alive and festive without me.
Who am I to stop you?
I was just a friend for a year or two.

Do you still think there is hope?
That we could still mend our shredded ropes?
Do you think we could revive our wings?
Even though I only hear snapping strings.

A personal letter to a friend... Oh wait scratch that an ex best friend (or sister). And if anyone was wondering. Yes the strings, all of them, were cut. She wasn't even affected, yet I deeply am. So much for being in Drama Club and in a cream section.
