"Where's Lydia?" Kira asked looking around at us as we waiting outside of the classroom before we took the PSAT.
Stiles answered, "She took it her freshman year."
Malia turned to him with wide eyes, "Does that mean I could have taken it some other time?"
"Malia, you studied harder for this than any of us." Scott reassured her.
"Doesn't mean I'm gonna do good." She sighed heavily while leaning against the lockers.
"Well..." Stiles corrected her.
Malia looked at him, waiting for him to say something else, "Well, what?"
"It's do well, not good." Stiles explained.
"Oh, God!" Malia let out a frustrated groan.
"Okay, okay." Stiles cowered defensively.
"You're doing this, because while we're trying not to die, we still need to live. If I survive high school, I'd like to go to college. A good college." Scott told us and I smiled at him.
"It's only three hours. We can survive three hours." Kira nodded to us, trying to be encouraging.
Stiles just gaped at her and shook his head slowly.
From my back pocket, I felt my phone buzzing so I excused myself from the group and answered.
"Hello?" I answered my phone walking away from where we were all waiting.
"Elaine?" Ethan's voice replied, someone who I haven't spoken to or heard from for months.
"Ethan?"
"Elaine, you're in danger." He said urgently.
"Yeah, I know that stupid dead pool or whatever-"
"No," he was quick to interrupt, "Your old pack member got a hold of the list with your name on it. They know where you are...they know you're alive."
I felt bile rush up my throat and I swallowed the bitter taste. My breathing became more erratic and my palms grew sweaty. I could barely feel my legs as I tried to stand tall, but I felt them shake from beneath me. It was like my body was shutting down.
"W-What?" I choked out grasping onto my necklace.
"You're not safe in Beacon Hills anymore." He said seriously.
"So what am I supposed to do? Pack up everything and run away again?"
"If you want to live, then yes."
I remained silent, my mind spiraling out of control with thoughts.
"I'll do as much as I can to give you more time, but I would move quickly."
