Kay's POV:
My whole body shut off, my brain shut down, my eyes zoned out and I went numb all over.
He lied
I hear my name being called from far away but I can't move. I can't react. I shut my eyes briefly and start falling forwards, I panic and my eyes shoot open, my arms flailing around. Louis and Eleanor jump forward and grab me and set my back on the bed safely. I shake my head to rid it of judgemental thoughts.
Please don't judge anyone till I've finished.
Louis words ring in my ears as I sit up straighter and look up to him.
"Sorry, just explain it to me please." I say, surprised by my calm tone. Louis blinks, a surprised look on his face too. He quickly composes himself and sits on my desk chair, Eleanor comes and sits next to me.
"He was set up, by Karl, you know the guy who kidnapped you-" He starts.
"How could I forget." I interject, he gives me a look before continuing.
"He told Harry to meet him at some house but when Harry got there it was empty except for loads of drugs and guns. Illegal ones of course, then the police just coincidentally turn up after getting a tip off and they arrest Harry and he's been there ever since. I was Harry's call and he told me to get him out because he knows this is Karl's way of getting to you while Harry's locked away and can't do anything. He also told me not to tell you but I thought you needed to know what was coming your way." He pauses to find my reaction.
"Thanks for telling me, I mean it. Now I can kick Karl's nuts for doing this. He'll regret coming after me because he's going to get more than he bargained for." My words are venomous and my firsts are clenched tightly, Louis smirks at me approvingly and continues.
"Good because we have a plan, and we need you." He comes over to the bed and we all sit facing each other.
"What's going to happen then? How are we going to get him out of prison." I ask, Eleanor chuckles slightly and I turn to her waiting for an explanation.
"He isn't in prison, well not yet anyway. He'll have to go to court first so he's probably in a holding cell in the station near to where they found him. He'll almost definitely be released on bail but it won't be cheap. Seeing as we don't have the money or time for bail we're going to have to break him out. It's not hard, if you know the right people." I stare in awe as she shares a smile with Louis. How does she know all this?
"By the way, I'm studying law at university." She mock whispers and then it all clicks together, I laugh and they both join in. Then it hits me, 'if you know the right people'
"What do you mean 'know the right people'?" I say, Louis clears his throat and answers me.
"Well, I know a few guys in the police force and they owe me favours so I can sort it no problem."
" But won't they get in trouble, fired even?" I ask, astonishment clear in my voice. Louis chuckles again
"Kay, these people used to work for people like Karl, I'm sure they can help us without getting caught." I nod in response as they both share a look. I sigh and my mind drifts off to Harry. I can imagine him pacing in his cell, pulling on his hair like he does when he's stressed or angry. He'll shout profanities at police that walk by him and he'll no doubt get trouble from a few of them. I chuckle at the thought and Louis and Eleanor look at me like I've grown another head.
"What?" I say innocently,
"It's not funny, why were you laughing at the plan." Louis asks sternly, I bite my lip as my thoughts come back.
