Polkadot pyjamas

I laid on my bed for hours, staring at his number. Should I text? Was he serious? Is this some kind of joke!? Why would he be interested in someone like me when he looks like that. I bet he could get any girl he wanted, it makes no sense..

I sucked in a deep breath and punched in his number. I was about to send it when I realised, how is he going to know it's me? I spent the next ten minutes deciding what to say, he doesn't even know my name.. Or does he? What has Alex told him. There's only one way to find out.

Me:

Hey Alex, what did u say to that Harry guy about me? Xx

Two minutes later my phone buzzed.

Alex:

Hiya, nothing embarrassing I promise ;) just your name and that your single. Now text him!! Xx

I sighed, might as well I've got nothing to lose.

Me:

Hey, it's Kay :) ..from the ice cream shop

I regretted it as soon as I hit send, jeez could I sound any more weird! I turned onto my stomach and slammed my face into the pillow at my stupidity. I didn't emerge until I heard my phone. I got a rush of excitement as I saw Harry's name flash onto the screen.

Harry:

Hey Kay :). Took you long enough ;) x

I let out the breath I had been subconsciously holding, a laugh escaped my lips. It was more for the relief that he actually replied than that he was funny. I sent him another text, feeling more confident about the situation.

Me:

Awwh were you counting the hours ;)

I know it sounds silly saying he's the guy from my dreams but I really don't see how he isn't. From what I can remember, they look exactly alike. I feel like I've known him since forever. I got snapped out of my thoughts with another text.

Harry:

For a pretty girl like you it's worth the wait ;) x

Jeez! So cheesy! I laughed again, gosh how could he get such a reaction out of me by doing so little. I got off my bed and got changed into my pyjamas before going to brush my teeth, not replying on purpose. There's no point in making silly conversation with an almost stranger, if he wants to meet me or ask me out then he'll get to the point if I ignore him. I smile to myself as I brush my blonde waves into a loose ponytail, I then climb back into bed to find Harry's name on my screen. A shocked expression spread across my face when I read the message.

Harry:

So now I have your attention (and number) I wanted to tell you to be ready at 8pm tomorrow and I'll come pick you up, wear something sexy ;) x P.S. nice pyjamas ;) xx

I sat there stunned for a moment, before snapping into action. I jumped off the bed and darted to the window. A black vehicle was parked opposite and a tall guy with distinctive curly hair got in and sped off into the night. I quickly pulled the curtains shut and ran back to my bed, I'm not sure if he is they guy of my dreams after all, this is a bit too creepy for my liking. Just knowing he knew where I lived and that he saw me undress was enough to make my blood boil.

Me:

How do you know where I live!? And what makes you think I'm going to go anywhere with you?

I shot my phone an angry look when I pressed send. Does he think because I texted him I immediately want a date, what does he take me for, a slag! Bet that's what all his other girls were. I laughed at my thoughts still with the image of him speeding off in my mind. It sent shivers up my spine when i realised he must have seen everything. Oh no! I wasn't dancing was I? I think I was. I groaned into my pillow before reading his message.

Harry:

I have my ways, plus you make it so easy for me to follow you. You should be careful, that's how girls get taken. And your going tomorrow wether you like it or not ;) x

If I wasn't already shocked enough I sure was now. He just admitted following me home and he's trying to make jokes! Wow he's messed up.

Me:

Well you'd know all about kidnapping wouldn't you! I have a brain you know, I wouldn't come anywhere near you let alone go on a date. So I think I'll stay at home thanks.

I got an instant reply.

Harry:

Feisty one you are, just how I like them ;) see you tomorrow Kay, I can't wait ;) x

That was it, I threw my phone across the room in frustration. And buried myself in the covers, I'm staying here if it's the last thing I do.
