Dear Diary,
Today something unexplainable happened.
I don't know to put it so I'll just say it:
Today I found out I'm a witch.
Or ...at least I was told that I am.
When the mail came in their was this letter with my name on it.
It read:
Miss J.Connor
The first room to the right upstairs.
I thought it was kind of wierd and it almost scared me that somebody knew wher I slept.
I almost didn't open the envelope, but curiosity drew me.
Dear Miss Connor,
We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted into Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry...
It went on to tell me what I would need for this school;like books I never heard of before and certain items like school robes and...a wand.
I wasn't sure what to think. Whether to be excited or shocked. I didn't even think magic was real.
Was this some sort of joke? Maybe a prank from one of the mean kids at school? I didn't show it to mom. I wasn't sure how she would take it. For all I knew she might throw it in the trash.
Something told me to hold onto the letter. So I heeded that voice and it is kept safely under my pillow.
A small part of me hopes the letter means what it says. The thought of magic being real sounded wonderful.
Though it was a very small part of me that hoped.
