Dear Diary,
I'm on my way to Hogwarts now. As the train roles by I feel butterflies in my stomache. I'm anxious and excited to get there; wanting to see and understand more about magic.
I'm eager to make friends. I was hoping to meet some of the kids on the train, but all of the carts were full. I was going to enter this one cart that had an empty seat. The kids in it seemed nice as they talked and laughed together. But when I slid the door open and asked,"Mind if I..."I trailed off when the spare seat was covered with books by a black haired girl my age. I looked away and closed the door, hearing laughter behind me.
So I'm sitting by myself in anempty train cartwatching forests and rivers fly past the window.
I hope I'm not getting off on a bad start...
It was a little scary getting to the train station. Hermione had told me to run through this wall to get to platform"nine and three quarters" I thought I was going to run"into" the wall not "through" it. But it was it was like a portal; coming out the other end but... on a different platform. Nine and three quarters to be exact. When I told mum and Hermione good bye I said to mum that I felt really bad leaving her all alone at home. But she told me I had  to take this opportunity while I could...
I already miss her.
Hermione was constantly telling me things I needed to know like lots of study habit suggestions. And she told me it'd be best if I looked over my books on the train ride.
So I did... wasn't like I had anything better to do. I've particularly become interested in this one book called"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" the magical creatures I've  briefly looked over sound just as the author titled it
"Fantastic"
I just looked up and in the distance the lights of the Hogwarts castle gleams. I'm finally here!
And there's only one word that can describe how wonderful the castle looked.
Magical.
