Loli Lay in her bed, the event that had taken place replaying over and over again in her mind. She felt her eyes prick with tears. She wanted her mother. It was such a childish thought, yet it was true.
Where was that warm and happy feeling she used to have? Did it give up on her just like she had given up on hope? She rolled over in her bed, shutting her eyes tightly. She COULDN'T do this. She had to stay strong!
Loli cracked her eyes open slightly, a REAL smile graced her features for once in a long time. A real smile. The last thought she had was sort of.....Filled with hope. It was a weird thing to think of. Just telling your self you had to stay strong shouldn't be something that renews hope. But Loli really couldn't explain why it did. For a second, the thought reawakened something inside of her. She closed her eyes again, relaxing. She finally fell asleep.

"HEY! Would you stop that?" The directer shouted. Loli raised an eyebrow at him, her smile ebbing away. "Stop what?" The director face pomed, as if it should be obvious. "The expression. It's ruining the seriousness of this report!" Loli raised her eyebrow more. "Expression? What expression?" The director sighed. "The dumb smile. It's just so.... childish." Loli frowned. Wasn't she supposed to smile while on the news? She shrugged it off and put less effort into her smile, which probably made it look like a grimace. She peered at the director, and he gave her a thumbs up. What the heck. What was it that was making her so suddenly happy?
She searched her thoughts and suddenly remembered her thoughts last night. 'You must stay strong.' Why did it give her so much determination?

Loli walked out the door of the filming studio, she kept her hand in her pocket, gripping the pepper spray tightly. She didn't want another encounter with a robber. And if she did, she didn't want to freeze up. She walked down the sidewalk, until-
"Ah!"
Until she tripped.
She looked behind her, why on earth was there so much litter suddenly? She winched when she lifted her hands off the ground. The bruise she had recieved seemed to be so much worse. The fall had caused her to land on a couple of sharp rocks, and the bruise was now bleeding. "That's just my luck." Loli groaned as she studied her pom.
"Hey! Is something wrong?" A woman was walking towards her, her eyes held genuine curiosity. Loli looked up. The woman has short black hair, hazel eyes, and was wearing a........ Loli's eyes suddenly widened. She was wearing a police outfit. Was Loli in trouble?
Loli suddenly felt very nervous. She inched away slightly, gripping the pepper spray even tighter. Her bleeding pom suddenly ached, and she winced.
She was painfully aware of how suspicious she looked. "U-Uh... I'm fine...." The police raised an eye brow. "You sure?" Loli nodded clenching her jaw in pain. Was her wound infected? She didn't know, but she felt like it was. "Yeah... F-Fine..." The police woman didn't seem convinced. "Are you hurt?" Loli frowned. This was pointless. If she was in trouble, so be it. "Yeah..." She held out her pom to show the bruised and cut part.
The police woman looked at her cut in curiosity. "How'd you get that?" Loli felt like yelling out 'It's none of your business.' But the woman in front of her was a police officer. It probably was her business.
"Eh... I tripped." The police woman nodded. "Okay." Loli suddenly felt annoyed. This police officer was way too nosy.
And as if the police woman read her mind, she suddenly began to glare. Opps. Loli realized her mistake when she figured out she had begun to glare. "Uh.... i really should get going." Loli said quietly. The police woman nodded. "Okay..." The person stepped to the side, and Loli was aware of her gaze scorching her back. Loli felt even more uncomfortable when she heard foot steps behind her.
She didn't want to make eye contact with whoever was walking behind her, so she kept walking. Perhaps the person behind her was just headed the same place? That seemed really odd. But there were a lot of people around, she couldn't be for sure.
Instead of stopping, like she probably should have done, she quickened her pace, until she began to jog home. The foot steps began jogging too! 'Okay.' She thought. 'This definitely isn't a coincidence!' She jogged all the way home, and was about the slam the door behind her, when she noticed something sitting by her window on the floor.
Instead of ignoring it, she walked to it, curious.
'Curiosity killed the cat.' She kept telling herself. But she couldn't help it. What if she had dropped her wallet or something? She stopped in front of the object, the moon light reflecting off it, and shining in her eyes, she crouched down and picked it up.
It was a knife. What the heck was a knife doing by her door? She turned it over in her hands, wincing as it landed on her cut pom. 'I should really wash off my pom.' She thought to herself. She turned around, her eyes wide in shock. The same police was behind her. WHAT THE HECK. "What are you doing?" The police woman stated, suspicion was written all over her face. "No. What are YOU doing?" Loli retorted. She felt her patcience run thin with this person, after all she had followed her home. Who does that?
The police woman began to look angry. "What are you doing with that knife?" The police woman almost yelled. Loli raised an eye brow, until the stinging in her pom reminded her of the knifes presence. Loli's eyes widened suddenly. She looked WAY to suspicious. "I wasn't going to do anything with this knife. It was laying outside of my window." The police woman looked doubtful. "Really?"
"Yes." Loli's eyes hardened. "Why did you follow me back here?" The police woman began to blush. Loli almost laughed at her but held it back. "Ah... Sorry. You were really suspicious. But I guess i was wrong about that." Loli couldn't help it anymore. She began to laugh very loudly. so the police admits it! It was a mistake. Loli wiped a tear away, and looked back up at the police woman, who seemed really upset.
"Yeah. i was suspicious, but I was kind of flustered. It's not everyday a police shows up and starts questioning you." Loli said, a smile rested on her face. She felt her dislike for the police leave her. "Sorry about that. I was just curious." The police woman smiled slightly. "No hard feelings?" Loli asked.
"No hard feelings. And It's Angie." Loli held out a hand to shake. "Loli." Angie grabbed her hand. Loli winced, realizing her mistake. She had given Angie the hurt hand. Angie let go of her hand, looking at her own. Then she held up her own pom. Blood was smeared on it. "Your bleeding. You should wash it off." Loli smiled. "Yeah. I'll do that."
"I'll see you later then?" Loli asked Angie. Angie shrugged. "Maybe."
"Maybe..." Loli repeated. "Okay, good bye." Angie walked away, and Loli suddenly felt very.... uplifted. She did feel really lonely since she moved here. She wondered if the police woman was feeling the same way.
