Chapter 5

Loli paced around in the dark room. She could barely see anything, and her foot steps echoing really only taunted her. The smell was horrid. If she could compare it to anything, it would be as if chlorine was sprayed around every corner.

It had only been a day since she had been in here. She wasn't even sure what exactly it was. Was it a closet? A tiny basement? It surely felt confined. Loli wasn't claustrophobic, but glancing at how close each wall was made her feel sicker than she already was.

This was Kenzie's fault. Shoving her into this dark area, smirking when she frowned. It's like Kenzie enjoyed seeing her in pain. What a sick minded-

A loud creak interrupted her thoughts. Loli looked over her shoulder, surprised when light pierced her gaze. "Who are you?" Loli called out.

After a few seconds of silence, a head peeked through the door. "Who else would it be?" There she was, Kenzie. Loli felt a growl rumble in her throat. Kenzie stood, glaring at Loli for a moment, than smirking, she begun to speak. "Your police friend requested help." Loli kept glaring, the growl never going away.

Kenzie continued, ignoring Loli's obvious anger. "I was just walking around, spotted an old friend. I was speaking to them... Someone else that wasn't exactly an old friend recognized my voice."

"Why should I care of this?" She snapped. Kenzie rolled her eyes. "The police friend of yours had recorded my voice, as well as calling for help. Smart one. She probably thought it would help to identify me." Loli's eyes never left Kenzie, but they held some genuine curiosity. "Get to the point." Loli hissed. "You figure out the rest. I'm well aware that the police- oh forget it, that Angie is able to find me, even in a large city such as this. From the fingerprints left at your house, to my voice, to basic knowledge of criminals. " Loli wrinkled her nose. "Why on Earth would you leave finger prints at my house?!" Kenzie shrugged. "The robbery was supposed to be quick. Break in, grab the money, leave. You wouldn't notice. Dropping the knife was accidental. I didn't even know I brought that knife- It was dark when I went to steal from you. I must have grabbed the wrong knife, besides, when I did notice my mistake, I decided there was no point in heading back to grab it, It's not like I would've thought to myself that I would drop it. I was doubtful that I would even need to use it."

Loli nodded slowly. That made a little more sense. So she came back to retrieve the knife. That's why everything was flipped over, turned inside out. She was looking for it. She had left behind something that was obviously pricey.

"Remind me why your revealing your 'evil' plot to me." Kenzie's smirk grew, and her eyes showed her amusement. "I do what I want. Even if you reported this to the authorities, it wouldn't do anything but explain my motives. Anyways..." Kenzie lunged forward and grabbed Loli's forearm, then dragged her out of the room, shutting the door behind her.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Loli shouted, panicking. Kenzie didn't even spare her a glance, but continued tugging her. With her free Hand, Loli tried to pry herself free, but Kenzie just grabbed that, too. Loli suddenly felt ashamed of herself. She must be weak, if she couldn't free herself, but then again, she never really had to, even in such a corrupted city like this.

Kenzie than shoved Loli into another room, it was much better than the other one, but still Loli wasn't pleased with being locked in.

Loli banged her hands on the door a few times. She knew it wouldn't do anything, but it would annoy Kenzie, which was a plus. "SHUT UP!" Kenzie yelled.

When Loli finally stopped banging, another knock came from a door that wasn't the one in front of her.

"Open up! It's the police!"

So there's my crappy chapter for now. I had a plot for this story, but it honestly didn't work much. There's a lot I don't know/understand about police/crime related things, so I'm trying my best. I know a lot of things in this story might not have happened in the real life, like most people would give a lot more thought to their actions, but, we humans make mistakes, so deal wit it. *Grabs glasses.*
