Never Ending Love([Merome])

Truth

Jerome's POV:

I feel myself awaken at his touch. But he doesn't know that. I keep my body still, my eyes don't flutter open, and my breathing is soft and even as it was before. But my heart feels like its about to leap out of my chest.

"Bigums...," he says sweetly, while sitting at the edge of my bed. "Im going to say this now while you are asleep so you won't kill me. But, I love you. Ever since the day we met, even as little boys, I've always wanted to kiss you, and make you mine. I've wanted to interlace my fingers with yours, and...," he stutters, and I slightly open my right eye. His face his red, and he starts to sniffle and cry, and I feel so sad that he doesn't know I'm listening to him, and that I feel exactly the same.

"Either way, I love you Bigums." And then he walks other to my face and leans down and kisses me on my cheek. He looks so sad...

He starts to walk away, but he comes back. He sees my open hand, and lays his on top of mine. I risk it, and curl my fingers into his.

At first he is confused, then I open my eyes.

"I heard the whole thing Mitch," I tell him.

"Oh...," he says, and looks disappointed and sad and little nervous at the same time.

"Bigums?" he asks.

"Yes?"

"Do you like me?"

"No, I don't." I reply, and sadness washes over his face.

"I don't like you Mitch. I love you."

His expression goes from depression, to peace.

"Jerome, I'm tired...I've got to get to sleep."

He lays down on the cold tile floor. You know...I'm getting a chill now too...

"Hey Mitch?"

"Yes?"

"I'm cold."

He stands up, and takes off his shirt to expose his abs... I can't keep my eyes from feasting upon them.

"You like what you see?" he asks teasingly.

"Oh shuddup."

He chuckles a bit, then climbs in the narrow bed, slips the covers on, and wraps a protective arm around me. Soon, I hear his snores interrupt the silence, and my baby Benja has fallen asleep.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
