Jerome's POV:

Once again, I awaken from his touch. I feel the pressure of his lips on mine and I smile. I reach my hand up to his cheek, and smile.

"Wake up babe," he whispers in my ear. "They are letting you out today."

Ugh.

I swing my legs over the side of the hospital bed and stand up. What I didn't know was that the thin hospital gown was going to fall off my body. Then I felt a breeze between my knees.

Since Mitch was standing there, he saw it fall.

And boy,

He blushed.

"Turn around Mitch!"

"Uh-um-I-okay," he stutters, and he does what he is told.

His obedience may be useful later. (Someone whispers: I know what you are thinking)

I slip on a change of my regular clothes,(Let's just say they were on the table) and I tell Mitch to turn back around.

He leaps forward and picks me up, baby style. (Yea-no bridal styles for u! *fist pump*)

"Put me down!" I demand lightly.

"Not until we reach the car." he replies, with that drop-dead gorgeous voice. I could listen to him all day without getting bored. His voice is my music.

We leave the hospital room, and step onto an elevator full of business like people. Mitch goes to the middle and makes a little space for him and I. We wait awhile, then the elevator is vacated. The doors close again and Mitch and I are alone again.

Then something pokes my leg.

"Miiiiitch," I whine, stretching the i.

"What is it Bigums?" he asks, and his voice quavers.

"Something is poking my leg." I complain, then he smiles a nervous smile.

"It's just my...my...,"he doesn't finish.

He says no more, the elevator doors open, and he walks across the lobby, and out the hospital doors.

Right as he walks out the door, he heads to the valet parking spaces. I spotted a chrome Lamborghini in the valet parking. Who could afford such a luxurious sports car?!?

"Mitch, look at that booty!"

"I know, good thing I payed for it."

What? That's MITCH'S car?

He saw my amazement and he laughs while opening the doors with his free hand. They slide up, and he sets me down in the passenger seat. Then he gets in the drivers side and starts it up. The engine starts to purr, and maple syrup smell fills the air...I look at Mitch's pants. A new era has arisen.

Mitch turns on the radio and a song I've never heard before comes on. Mitch looks excited, then softly sings.

"I'm staring out into the night,

trying to hide the pain.

I'm going to the place where love

And feeling good doesn't ever cost a thing.

And the pain you feel's a different kind of pain.

Well I'm going home,

Back to the place where I belong,

And your love has always been enough for me

No, I'm not running from

No, I think you got me all wrong.

I don't regret this life I chose for me

But these places and these faces are getting old.

So I'm going home,

Well I'm going home."

He finishes, even though the song is not over. He pulls over, then he turns the radio off, and sits in his seat and seems to simmer. Then out of nowhere, he reaches out and grabs onto my body and hugs me. Sobs rack his body, violently making him shake.

"I just love you so much Jerome...I'm always worried if I am going to lose you someday...," and he goes silent.

I feel his tears soaking through my shirt, and I pat his back. Then I bring his red and puffy face up to mine.

"Don't worry. My soul belongs to you"
