Olivia and Tyler ate their lunch in silence which was awkward. Olivia nearly got a heart attack when Lily greeted them by skipping over and exclaimed, "Hey guys!"
"Hi, Lily. Did you had lunch yet?" I asked.
"Duh. What do you think? Mind if I sit? Introduce me to your new friend!" And with that, Lily squeezed in next to Olivia.
Lily kept smiling as they sat there in silence.
"So... what's your name, pretty face?" Lily looked at him.
"Uh... Lily, that's Tyler. We just met today," Olivia replied for him.
"Ooh! I'm Lily. Nice to meet you! You play violin 1 too, right?" Lily asked.
" Yeah. Uh, I'm gonna get a drink. Be right back," Tyler said nervously.
Tyler left and Olivia realized that she was kind of blushing the whole time.
"You know he's kinda cute, right?" Lily said. Olivia just kept silence and blush harder. "Ooh! You like him, right?" Lily gushed. Olivia just shushed her up and they sat in silence until Tyler came.
"Meet you guys at rehearsal!" Lily waved us goodbye. After she was gone, Olivia sat there looking at her drink and stirring it with her straw.
"She talks a lot," Tyler commented.
"Yeah. I wonder how she makes friends so easily," I replied.
"Isn't she your best friend or something?" Tyler looked at me.
"No. She's just a friend I know and talk to," I laughed.
"You look familiar," Tyler suddenly said.
"You saw me last year."
"You... you were at the musical festival too?"
Quietly, Olivia sighed.
Of course he wouldn't remember.
Why would he remember a girl like her?
