the first part of the ride was spent in silence. hui focused his eyes on the empty road ahead of them, a gleam of anger resting in his brown orbs as dawn grew closer. he glanced to the radio, emitting the time in small, neon green numbers and still playing the same song.

it was his favorite. it had often been played around the house when hui's parents were still around in pancake and laughter filled saturday mornings. it was 1:39, now. his eyes scarcely left the road, but when they did, they either landed on the boy in the back of the car, who was currently staring off into the distance from the window.

"care to introduce yourself?" hui retorted, rounding the corner of the city streets and continuing into the small country roads ahead of them. the pale boy's eyes widened upon realizing he was being spoken to, and his lips form into a straight line, small creases at the edges of his pink lips.

"e'dawn." he spoke, running his hand through his hair and slumping back against the black leather seat, an unamused expression on his face. the red head turned around, holding out her hand for e'dawn to shake.

"hi, i'm hyuna." she said. e'dawn looked almost frightened at the appearance of her hand, a tiny of nervousness in his eyes and an apprehensive smile on his face. he took her hand in his own, moving it up and down. her hand was warm, a contrast to his cold and bony ones. he liked it.

when e'dawn snapped back to reality as his fingers left the red head's warm ones, he turned back to the driver, an annoyed expression. hui responded to his agitated gaze with a confused one.

"can you change the damn song already?" e'dawn asked, referring to the fact the same annoying song had been playing on repeat for the past hour. hui simply shook his head, easing the car to a stop at the approaching red light.

"no can do." he says, leaving it at that. e'dawn realizes there's no point in arguing, so he rests his head lazily on the smooth leather of the seat and sighs to himself, secretly admiring the red head's beauty from the mirror.

little did he know, she was also admiring him. as his eyes trailed over her fiery red hair, hers traveled over his bleach-blonde locks. while he was looking at her tan skin, she was looking at his pale skin. they continued to admire each other's features until the diver interrupted them by awkwardly coughing.

note; in this story the main romance is going to be between hyuna and e'dawn but i may throw a threesome in there because i have no idea where this is going.

"where are we going, anyways?" e'dawn asks, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow once he is pulled from the trance he had over hyuna's overall perfection.

"you sure are full of questions." hui remarks, taking a turn down a desolate road leading to the countryside, no buildings in sight. he sighs upon realizing the boy won't let the question go and drums his fingers against the steering wheel.

"out of town, that's where we're going." he replies. the boy in the back simply nods, smoothing his bare foot along the floor. hyuna looks over to the pink-haired driver, her eyes slightly widening at his statement.

"are the police after us?" she questions, a worried look spreading across her pink cheeks. hui nonchalantly shrugs his broad shoulders, glancing over to her only for a second before paring back at the road.

"no idea. i'm sure as hell not staying around to find out, though." hyuna nods and looks down at her hands, her tan skin still covered slightly with a pale red tint. both boys in the car are slightly aware of what she has done, but decide not to ask any further questions.

the song blasting on the radio continues as hui pressed the button to repeat it. he didn't love the song, but he didn't hate it either. it made him feel numb. and that was exactly what he needed at that moment.

the boy in the back could feel the tune warming up to him, the catchy 90s beat leaving a pleasant echo in his elf-like ears. he soon found himself humming along to the melody, softly whispering the lines so no one would notice.

the driver obviously did, though, and began to sing along with him. not soon after, the red head loudly sang as well. they all swung their arms and smiled. this was their euphoria, their aesthetic. as hui sped down the empty roads, their singing grew louder.

" player, champagne, showtime! "

" i'm 365 so fresh! "

" f r e s and h, so fresh

f r e s and h, til' death

f r e s and h, what's left? "

when the song ended for the what seemed like 300th time, they all chuckled to themselves before the seriousness returned to the car.

"we'll have to pullover and sleep." hui remarks, easing the car to the right of the road and parking in the middle d an empty field near the countryside. "help me take down the seats."

in the back of the car, the three ease down the leather seats until they are completely flattened. they make a makeshift bed and use their jackets to make a blanket over themselves.

"goodnight." hui breathes out. the others reply with the same phrase, all laying tightly compacted next to each other, the car lights switched off.

outside of the car, e'dawn could hear the crickets chirping and the sound of the swaying trees blowing with the wind.

he closed his eyes and sighed. the feeling of warmth returned to his palm, and he could've sworn as he was about to fall asleep, he could feel the red head's hand interlace with his own in the dark.
