The Fighters, The Fight ( A Wolf/Dog pack story )

   "JAGGEDPUP !" ShaggyClaws shouted "WHERE ARE YOU!" The tiny pup appeared "Hi ShurnClaw, You wanted me father?" JaggedPup said, passing his grandma as he walked to his dad. "Yes i wanted you, you're coming to the meeting..." ShaggyClaws started speaking, until his son JaggedPup interrupted "But dad I don't want to!" "Well too bad you're coming now go wash your pelt this is important."

   JaggedPup walked to the riverbank on the slow part of the river thinking Ugh what could be so important of a meeting when they just blab on about there clan? He continued and his sisters FernPup and StrongPup appeared in the clearing "Hey JaggedPup what are you doing in the river?" FernPup said excitedly "Shaggyclaws said I'm going to the pack meeting and he said its inportent." "Well it must be important" interrupted StrongPup "And CherishPelt said me and FernPup are going too, she said to wash our pelts."

   "Gather round!" roared the strong voice of MoonStar interrupting the three pups talking. All the pack dogs gathered around the angled rock with their clan leader MoonStar upon it. Her pelt grey with a tint of silver, and with the full moon shining upon her, it made it sparkle adoringly "Now, today is an important day. Today is the day when Fernpup And Strongpup become apprentices for Cherishpelt they will become our future medicine dogs. But Jaggedpup will become an apprentice for Shurnclaw, and grow up to be a worrier and will hopefully become a cherished hunter. Will these pups please join me on this rock?"

   The three pups came up on the rock. MooonStar gave them an assuring lick on the ear "Fernpup and Strongpup do you promise to heal your pack depending on your life?" MoonStar asked sternly. The two pups dipped their heads in a bow and spoke in synch saying "Yes MoonStar." "Your names will now be FernPaw And StrongPaw." the pack started chanting by the two now apprentices new name while MoonStar gave them a bow of respect. The two dogs pranced off the rock joyfully.

   "Now JaggedPup do you swear on keeping your pack safe with your life along these rules, I will not enter any other pack's borders without permission I will never keep a prophecy to myself, I will never attack a pack mate unless a life or death problem, And I will never hunt upon other boundaries." Jagedpup dipped his head in a bow and said strongly "Yes MoonStar." MoonStar bowed her head and said, "Your new name is now JaggedPaw" The clan chanted by the new apprentices name while he left the rock.

   "Now that will close this meeting off," MoonStar started while the pack quieted down "For now on these apprentices will now be called by their new names. They will begin training tomorrow" The elders, surprisingly not falling asleep, jumped happily for the new apprentices to their den. The rest of the pack followed and the three siblings went to their den together and curled up on the same ferns.

   It was now SunHigh, the apprentices were still asleep in their den. Mother of the apprentices woke them up and Jaggedpaw moaned "It's hardly sun high." "Well thats how early you need to wake up if you want to get started on training..." CherishPelt spoke in her shy voice. The three apprentices got up and headed to the fresh kill pile, the sisters grabbed a vole to share. Then jaggedpaw grabbed a mouse then headed towards ShurnClaw sat down then ate.
