Jungkook was his everything

The simple loving touches, his soft voice, his bunny smile. The moments they shared together were dream  like, yet far from it, and yet he threw it all away...

No longer was Kookie there to  blow out Yoongi's raging flame...

Jungkook stared out at the crystalline sea, reflecting the light of the sun. He sat on the dock, taking it all in, with legs dangling over and swinging every now and then. It was peaceful. The sounds of crashing waves below him, the feel of mist hitting his legs. Cold but soothing in a way. Yet no matter how nice it was, something still ate at his mind. Something that he just couldn't understand sometimes.

'Yoongi...'

His thoughts were broken when the male realized that he was no longer alone on the docks. Jungkook glanced back, catching sight of the soft mint kissed locks he loved so much. Then came Yoongi's arm around his shoulder, weighted but oh so gentle. It went wordless but he'd come to know it was a gesture of love. So why did it feel so much less?

Nevertheless, he gave his best bunny smile to Yoongi as said male patted Kookie's. It put him off even more when his smile wasn't returned with another, or even a comment such as 'You look like a bunny, kid.' or 'quit it, it's infectious.' like he'd usually get. Instead of the gummy smile and tired yet bright eyes he loved, he was met with a straight face and clouded eyes... 'Why?'

Slowly but surely, Yoongi's hand slipped off Jungkook's shoulder, hand caressing his hand as they met. He stood to his feet, soft yet so distanced.. "Come on, kid." and with that, he left off. The younger followed in suit as Yoongi started down the dock.

Jungkook had to pick up his pace to catch him, and settled for shoving his hands in his pockets rather than grabbing the other's hand. It made him a bit uncomfortable, honestly. Usually their hands would so naturally find one another's, lock together as a symbol of their bond, their love. Yet here they were, empty and cold hanging around in his pockets. Nothing else was said either, because as much as Jungkook wanted to know what was bothering Yoongi, he hated to pressure the older male.

Now here they were, after what felt like a cold hard eternity, surrounded by the warmth of their friends. Friends that had their own differences , yet Jungkook and Yoongi had come to love so much. Kookie's head rested snugly on Min Yoongi's lap. Everyone's laughter and chatter was nice, and it went on for a bit. Hoseok and Namjoon throwing wood into the fire, all of them screaming in terror as the flames cracked and roared then laughing it out as it wasn't much of a deal. Soon enough it all died down, into low whispers and tired yawns. Soon enough Yoongi had it..

That damned lighter.

They all listened to the repeated flicker of his lighter, fuel sparking flame. The stoic look on Yoongi's face set in as he became all too concentrated on the flame as if it beckons him. It made no sense to the others as there was a larger, even brighter flame just in front of him. Jungkook didn't care what flame the other was playing with...He was just worried.

Hoseok must've been too, or at least gotten annoyed by it, because he sighed and grinned tiredly. "You've been at it for a while Yoongs, why don't you give it a rest." he uttered, using his foot to lazily nudge said male. Though, he only gained a grunt as a response and the flame continued its on and off cycle. Hoseok sighed once and glanced at Jungkook, who got the memo.

He eased out of his resting position, drawing his face near the lighter in Yoongi's hand. He glanced up at the male as if giving a before hand apology, not that it went noticed anyway. The flame's light flickered in his eyes before he blew it out. Like he always did..
