Before she realized what was happening, screams and flashes were filling her ears and sight, and as she frowned to the scene in front of her, a crew holding cameras and big cases made their way inside the cafe, followed closely by a young handsome men that she recognized instantly. Matthew March. The adulated rock singer. Know heartthrob. Number one in most countries' charts. Had just entered her safe place, and her life.
She watched Pacey nervously welcoming the crew, and smiling wildly at the superstar in front of him. "Matthew! God it's been so long! You look handsomer than ever!"
"Pacey, buddy! You haven't changed a bit! It's good to see you!", they shared a quick hug before Matthew started introducing him to everyone. It struck her how he actually knew all of these people by their name, like he actually was close to every one of them. That seemed odd coming from someone so famous. But again, she'd never met any star before, so she could hardly judge, she just never assumed that someone so popular would actually care about the staff.
After he'd greeted every crew member, Pacey went back to talking to Matthew. She couldn't hear was they said, but at some point, they both turned to glance towards her, and she couldn't help but blush at being caught staring. She quickly averted her gaze from them, and took a look outside, where a light rain had started to fall.
After a few more words between the two of them, Matthew March starting walking towards Jo. When she realized it, her cheeks reddened even more, and she started putting her things away from the table. Before he even got the chance to say a word to her, she was standing up and talking real fast.
"Don't you worry, I'll be out in a minute"
He looked at her with wide eyes. "What?"
She stared at him for a second, "Well I mean ... That's what you where going to ask me right?"
He narrowed his eyes at her, shaking his head slightly. "Why would I ask you to leave?"
She narrowed her eyes back, pondering whether or not he was mocking her. "It's pretty ... obvious... You're here with a camera crew, some dancers... You're obviously going to shoot a video clip in here, and I just assume you don't want any unnecessary extra..."
His eyebrows lifted in surprise, "Damn ... You really gave it some thoughts!"
"If I could just get a few minutes to finish writing this chapter, then I'll be out of your way ... If that's ok with you .... I mean, you're probably gonna need at least half an hour to get everything ready, plug all the lights and cameras, position everyone, have a make up touch and review the scenario with the director ...". She couldn't seem to be able stop the stream of words that was currently leaving her mouth.
He chuckled lightly, startled by her behavior. "You're ... something else really! If you allow me to say something now, I could maybe tell you why I actually came to you just now?"
She just nodded, shutting her mouth tightly for the for time since his arrival.
"Pacey here just told me who you are, so I simply wanted to say hello ... And introduce myself."
"Oh", she stayed silent for a few more moments. "I don't think that's necessary ... I know who you are..."
"Right ... ", he smiled at her, once again, too big mouth."Anyway, you can stay here, we'll be filming on the other side of the room."
She inhaled deeply, closing her eyes. "I'm sorry ... Um ..." She lifted her arm, extending her hand towards him, "I'm Josephine ... Demier... It's um ... nice to meet you."
He smiled before shaking her hand delicately, "Pleasure's all mine Josephine ... I'm Matthew March"
"I know ...", she mumbled before closing her eyes again. "Sorry... Jeez! I cant help it, can I?"
