Chapter 11 "So is he the father?"

Stephanie's P.O.V

She let him go without letting him explain why my children had his last name, I glared at her. "Melia let it got you can talk to him later." Jaden said using my nickname they gave me as a child. "But-" "Steph come on forget for today." I sighed in defeat knowing I was getting to work up on this.

Maddie looked over at her twin my brother Jaden or Jay for short, who just shrugged. "How 'bout pizza?" I suggested. "I'll call you pay." "Sure." We where have way done when the doorbell rang. "I'll go get it." I walked up and opened the door, standing outside was Julian Matthew our star quarterback for the football team. His light brown hair was styled upwards and his grey eyes had a green tint in them. He was wearing a black t-shirt that hugged his abdomen.

He isn't as fit as Aiden

Yeah-what?

His eyes where different to Aiden's eyes, Aiden had grey eyes with a tint of blue. He always had this spark in his eyes that held determination, hope and love. That always made me smile as I thought of him. Julian had pink fullish lips where Aiden had rosy full plump lips that looked soft- what? Snap out of Stephanie, you are a strong woman that needs no men right now.

"Sorry come in." "Thank you is this Stephanie Walden's house?" "Yeah that would be me and yes this is my house." "Oh my friend Mason Young called me and asked me to help out." "Oh you know Mason? So that must mean you know Aiden Wesley, right?" "No sorry I don't know him but I know he was star quarterbackand captain of the football team for three years before he quit." "Oh." "Sorry my name is Julian Matthew." "Melia who's at the door?" Hollered my brother.

"Come joins us we're taking a break, we're in the livin groom." I walked to the living room were my friends/siblings where at, they stopped watching the movie and turned towards us. "Guys this is Julian Matthew, Julian this is my brother Jaden, my sister Madison and my best friend Amber." They waved and answered with 'hey' or 'hello'.

"Guys Julian is here to help out." "Cool man, want a beer?" "Sure thanks." He sat down, they started talking about football and guy stuff. I looked over at my watch and noticed it was twelve'o clock which meant feeding time for my twins. "Sorry to bail on the conversation but I have to feed my babies." "I'll help." Both Maddie and I got up and headed to the kitchen to prepare the bottles.

Amber's P.O.V

Something about him bugged me and I couldn't put a finger on it which irritated me to no end. His face looked familiar, where had I seen it? I tried to remember all the faces I was but I couldn't because there were to many, I mean come on everyone see at least twenty different faces a day. Stephanie came back with the twins, I stretched out my hands in a 'gemm' kind of way. She said and gave me Jake the older one of the twins.

I studied Jake's appearance and the I studied Julian's appearance making sure not to look like a stalker and saw a resemblance between them. Jake had this lightish-darkish brown hair his eyes where grey with a slight and by slight I mean like a real small green tint. How do I find out? It's not like I can go to him and say 'hey Julian you and my best friend's babies look alike can I take a DNA test?' No he probably think I'm a weirdo or something, I could always use a piece of hair but that would look creepy, so that's out of the picture.

I was him take a sip of his beer bottle then a lightbulb went of in my head I could use his beer bottle for the DNA test, and all I have to do is cotton swab the twins. Fifteen minutes later Maddie and I were cleaning up the mess but before we started cleaning I put on some glove. I grabbed Julian's beer bottle and put in a plastic bag, after that I swabbed the twins and put it in a small plastic baggie. I then called a friend who owed me big.

"Amber, are you okay?" "Grayson, yeah I'm fine, I just need a favor?" "Okay what can I help you?" "I need you to take some samples I have here for a DNA test." "Okay I can pick it up at your dorm." "Cool so how long will it take?" "About five days." "Okay well see you there, bye." "Okay, bye." Great my plan was in action now I just need to wait five whole fuckin days, I hope the wait is worth it.

"Hey Amber do you see something familiar in Julian or it just me?" Maddie asked, I had two options A.) Play dumb or B.) Tell her the truth. I mean I could use more people but she also lets thing slip and it could ruin my cover so I went with option B.) Praying she wouldn't let it slip. "I'm glad you said that Maddie because I thought the same and just didn't know if I it was just me or what." "Yeah because I got a closer view of Julian and saw how much of a resemblance he had with the twins."

"Do you think Steph knows?" "No it took me a while to put a finger on it but as I studied him I put two and two together and came up with he might be the father." "Do you have the DNA for a test of paternity?" "Yeah, I have a friend that will do the DNA test but we have to wait five whole fuckin days to know if are hypothesis is right."

"So is he the father?"

Hey guys another on time update yeah for me! Who here thinks Amber would make a good dective someday? I can relate to Maddie I usually let things slip too, oops 😶. Hope you have a good day/night. This book has about nine to twelve chapters so don't worry it won't end soon. Well see you next update.
