"that smith kid is weird." brendon comments to jon who's probably not even paying attention to him.
brendon is surprised when jon asks, "what do ya mean?"
"i mean, he doesn't know how to back down from a fight, not to mention he barely even knows what he's doing. he reminds me of me when i first started." brendon rambles.
"i just think he's an idiot." jon admits.
"but you think that about everyone." brendon replies.
"whatever." jon says. "you going out tonight, i'm leaving in a little?"
"do i really have a choice?" brendon asks.
"yea, you can come with me, or you could stay here home alone." jon shrugs.
brendon knows better than to argue with jon. jon's always guilt tripping him into everything, it's best just to agree with him than fight.
"where are we going?" brendon asks.
"just the bar, unless you want to go somewhere else?"
"no, that's fine." brendon agrees, "let me just get dressed."
brendon goes into his room, changing into black skinny jeans and complementing hoodie. he grabs his phone and wallet, shoving them into his pockets.
"ready?" jon asks, earning a nod from brendon. "don't try to wonder off, okay?"
"i can handle myself, jon. we both know that." brendon replies.
"with a pretty boy face like that?" jon laughs, "without me by your side you wouldn't last 5 minutes."
"yeah, right." is all brendon says. he wants to say more, but instead he bites back his tongue. he wants to argue that he could easily win against jon in a fight. that he can really take care of himself. that he's not the weak, fragile boy jon knew him as.
