Chapter One - Lovebirds

Mat's POV

~ I watch Mitch lean down and kiss Jerome. Mitch and Jerome have always been in love. They started dating last year. No one was surprised when they came out and announced that they were dating. I know I should be happy for them, but all I feel is jealously. Most girls would do anything to be Mitch's lover. No one likes boring Mat.

~ I sit against a tree, observing merome romance. Then I hear someone behind me. Rob pokes his head out.

"Hey, Mat." He smiles sincerely and sits beside me. His eyes shimmer and sparkle. Out of no where, Rob waves his hand in front of my face.

"Hello, Mat, you there?" He gently slaps my face.

"Oh! Sorry, I wasn't paying attention. What were you saying?" Rob rolls his eyes.

"I asked, what were you staring at?" Rob chuckles. I didn't even know I was staring at him.

"Nervous?" Rob asks, poking my cheek. I started blushing.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I smirk, staring at the lovebirds now sucking each other's faces. Rob laughs, and watches Mitch and Jerome with me.

"So, found that special lady yet?" Rob casually asks, trying to make conversation.

"Unfortunately, no. I guess they're not ready for the Mat express." I joke, but in all seriousness, no girls like me. Rob breaks out in laughter. Suddenly he stops, and rests his hand on my thigh. It kinda feels good.

"Sorry, I'm sure you'll find that special someone." I shrug, not wanting to talk about me anymore.

"When do you think they'll be done?" I ask, pointing to Mitch and Jerome.

"Probably when someone throws a shoe at them." Rob says, pulling his shoe off. He stands up and chucks it at them.

"C'mon! We have to record a video!" Rob yells as they pull apart. Mitch looks pissed, and throws the shoe back at Rob. I laugh; I've always hated my laugh. Robs grabs my hand and pulls me up. I trip over my shoes and stumble into Rob. I blush and laugh nervously.

"Sorry." I mumble. Rob smiles.

"It's okay." Then he puts his arm around me and we walk to the car together.
