In this part, you will know what is "po" and "opo" and how/when to use them.
Po and Opo is added to any sentences you make or say to make it more polite.
Po is mostly used or placed at the end of the sentence.
For example:
Hello po - You can use this when you are speaking to someone older than you. If you are speaking to someone younger or just same age as yours you can just simply say "Hello."Sorry po - Just the same as "Hello po", you can use this one when you did something wrong or accidentally hurted someone might be a stranger, or someone older than you.
How will you know when you need to put "po" in the sentence?
I can't really explain how, and when to put it but i'll try.
For example:
Where is the Manila Ocean Park?If you are asking a stranger, you might need to put "po" to make it more polite since you don't know them. But it will still be okay if you don't put "po".
Nasaan po ang Manila Ocean Park?
Take this as a hint, When you are asking about:
How - paano
When - kailan
Who - sino
Where - saan
What - anoYou need to put "po" after them.
How can we go to Manila Ocean Park?
Paano po kami makakapunta sa Manila Ocean Park? When can I go to Rizal Park?
Kailan po ako makakapunta sa Rizal Park?Who are you?
Sino po kayo?Where can I go this night
Saan po ako makakapunta ngayong gabi? What is this?
Ano po ito?Opo is used to someone older than you or a stranger too, when they are askin you a question.
For example:
When they asked you if you are a tourist, and you are a tourist. You will say opo.
Opo means yes in a polite way.
If you are not a tourist and if you want to say no.
You will say Hindi po.
Hindi po means no in a polite way.
