The next day Vincent woke up with a startle. He was breathing heavy. It was another horrible nightmare, but it was not the usual nightmares he always had. It was about that old woman and her words. 'Will it be true?' He thought. He shook his head and brushed his thoughts away to start his day.

At breakfast he was sipping his usual green tea when his father came with a distaste look, "I expect you to sell the plot by today." he said rigidly as his nurse placed him in front of the enormous black table.

"But father!" Vincent tried to fight back but his father cuts in with a grunt.

"I said you will sell it and that's it!" His father shouted and got into his yellow omelette.
"As you say father" He growled and left the dining room making a loud sound of his chair pushing back.

Later that day

Vincent's P.O.V

"What? Are you telling this now!" I yelled at the driver.

"I'm sorry sir, I didn't knew that the tank was almost empty." He bowed his head down. I decided to not yell at him furthermore and ruin both of our days.

"I can arrange a taxi for you right away sir." He said but I stopped him to do it as my office was only one block away.

"You don't have to. Just get the tank full" I told him and got out of the car.
The streets were a lot busy today, I cringed at the sight of crowd in the footpath.
As I got mixed up with them. Someone wearing a green hoodie pushed me and I almost fell on the hard concrete but I controlled myself from falling.
"Sorry!" the person yelled and got away before I could catch their hand and stop them.
How rude, that person didn't even turn and say sorry, just ran away. i dusted my coat and started to walk.

I finally reached my office and went inside. I was going to get inside the elevator when I felt hot liquid in my back and someone's body too. This is just a very bad day. I turned around to see a woman with long (h/c) holding a coffee cup in her hand.

"I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to drop my coffee on you." She apologized with a worried face.

Just then I looked deeply in her eyes. It was (e/c)! Was she my?  Wait what? I guess that woman was right after all- No I just can't believe the words of a mad woman. I need proof.

"What's your name? What brings you hear?" I ask her politely and with a hint of curiosity. My eyes looking at her (e/c) eyes.
"I'm Amanda and I'm here to meet Vincent Douglas" She says with pride lurking in the mention of my name.
My eyes forms a questionable look. I wasn't expecting anyone today. "Well I am him." I say and shove my hands in my pocket.
"Well can we talk somewhere private?" She asks. I nod my head and direct her upstairs to my office.
Once we reach my office I drop off my wet suit on the sofa in front of my desk and sit down on my lavish black chair and ask her again, "How may I help you?"

She steps forward with a flirtatious look and a wide smile showing her perfect white teeth "I've only came here to tell you that I agree to marry you."

And in a second I felt my whole world cometo a crash, "What?" I intend ask her but it only came as a whisper to myself. At this point I was angry not only she dropped hot coffee on my back but was saying such nonsensical things to me.

"Your dad sent my dad your marriage proposal and I just came to tell my answer." She says again with pride on the mention of our dads'. Is this some kind of sick joke? My love life is the only that I have control over and is so close to me. I can never marry a girl like Amanda. I will not let my father snatch away the only thing that I value so much.
"If you don't mind. Can you give me some time? I mean can I talk to you a bit later? I have a  meeting." I say and smile at her. I obliviously didn't want to shout at her for my father's action. I just wanted to remove her presence from anywhere me. I can't handle this idiocy of my father.
"Of course I'm always free. Why don't we have dinner together, tonight?" She asked with hope written on his face. I couldn't turn her down. I had to clear the tension in the air. Tonight I will tell her that I can't marry her and I don't care if my father tries to kill me for it. I don't want an obnoxious girl as my wife.
As soon as she left the office, I threw the stapler, which was lying in front of me, out of anger and got rid of the stained white shirt. I sat down on my desk shirtless and too numb to even start my work. I kept staring at my laptop trying to cool down but just then there was a loud knock on my door and the door opened to show my secretary, Yang. Yang was an old worker. He was pretty close to me and I had told him there was no need of taking my permission to come in so I was used to him barging in.
"Sir!" He says with excitement in his words.
"Yes, Yang?" I say still looking numb at the space gray laptop.
"There's a good news." I quickly snapped out of my laptop's black screen and told him to continue.
"Our new building immediately sold out as we put up the sell sign!"
I was shocked yet happy at same time, the most hardest project had sold out! The one father yelled at me before had sold out! My mind immediately drifted back to the old lady's words from yesterday and then to Amanda. No way. Was she my soulmate? It can't be I don't even like her.

A/N: I'm sorry that this one is too short. I'll try my best and I'll try to write it longer.
